Great service and food. Warm atmosphere and extensive menu of both food and drinks. I would highly recommend if you are in the Northampton area.

I think this has to be my favourite place to eat by far! The steak is out of this world. All the food tasted far better than I ever imagined.

Excellent food and service, very good atmosphere. Superb range of very unusual beers. As the driver of our group it would have been nice to see an alcohol free wine or cocktail on the menu, but that is not a criticism just a suggestion.

Had a great time, despite very loud customers on a corner table treating the place like a pub and thinking we all needed to be in their loud conversations. The food was superb and the staff were excellent, such a shame the clientele could not be better behaved, I looked around and quite a few people were fed up by them too.

Another great meal at Hops & Chops this time on a Sunday lunchtime. The fillet & sirloin steaks were as succulent as ever. Two of our party really enjoyed their Sunday roasts. Service excellent as usual.

Food and service were brilliant, only bad point was waitress had just had a cigarette and the smell was over powering, this was a little off putting for non smokers trying to enjoy food.

Great food absolutely worth every penny but the deserts could do with a hot more variety. Service is good and quick but not particularly friendly

So tasty as always I didn’t give a 6 only because I’d stated it was my birthday under the special requests but was not acknowledged other than that the meals were fantastic and my friends all enjoyed their meals too

Attentive staff, tasteful decor and an excellent choice on the menu. A meat lover’s paradise... and oh yeah there’s a craft beer fridge too. I think I might move in permanently. Thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

Excellent meal to celebrate a family birthday. Most of us had steaks plus one of the specials which were all excellent. Good service

The hanger steak and popcorn shrimp are superb!! This was our third trip and it has always been great food and excellent, attentive service. Cannot recommend enough.

We visited here with friends for a birthday meal, the food was again really tasty, and the service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend :)

We started with two sharing platers, they were both good, 3 out of the 4 had a roast, the pork was great but the lamb was a little tasteless. The service for the food was excellent but the service for drinks was a little slow, we had to chance a few times, the cocktails were especially good

12 of us visited to celebrate a family birthday between us choosing around 7 different dishes from the menu. The food was delicious, everyone really enjoyed their meals and the service was as friendly as always. We’ll be back again soon, thanks!

Lovely food - again. This is dangerous being round the corner from our house but also we are very lucky! We had the Xmas pre booked menu - the shin of beef was to die for and another superb dining experience! We had one of the special Gin cocktails - lush - love this place!

I can honestly say the steak was amazingand really appreciated the pate topper 🙌🏼 crispy onions and skin on fries amazing but the roast onion steak sauce was literally the nicest most flavoursome gravy/sauce I’ve ever eaten The Mac and cheese needed a stronger bite of cheese but that was the only minor thing, I want to go back and bathe in the sauce while eating the steak with the pate topper xx

Chef clearly not experienced with charcoal grilling and is unable to adjust heat to ensure steaks are cooked consistantly. Ordered medium, parts were well done and others raw.

The food was really delicious, the steaks were well cooked and tasty. The menu offered lovely sounding desserts too but we couldn’t fit them in! we’ll definitely be returning!

Sunday roast beef was tough and roast potato was dry. It was quite disappointing.

Great service. Food delicious and selection of drinks very good. It was busy but this didn’t detract from the service or wait time. We had a lovely evening 😁

Came for Sunday lunch with my family & we weren’t disappointed

The food was nice apart from the crispy mushhrooms which were soggy....but not worth the price, service was very slow, sat at table ages before a drinks order was taken, shocked at there being a 10% service charge already on bill! Would of tipped more being given the choice, won't be returning

Lovely food, drinks and service! Half of us has the chicken Sunday roast which was delicious. The other half had duck which was apparently also great! Gin menu is fantastic too.

Excellent food and fantastic staff. feels always welcome but it can be too noisy.

Four of us had a great time at the weekend for my daughters birthday all four of us chose different things from the menu and we were all delighted with our choices the food was great the service was excellent would recommend this to anyone cant wait to go back will be planning on taking some friends in the new year

As always food was fantastic, initially were sat on a table situated by the doors to the kitchen and toilets, so was like being sat in a corridor, but as soon as we asked if we could move the staff were very accommodating and moved us to another location. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We will be back again!

Food was great when they finally got the order correct, my poor friend was kept waiting for 15 mins due to an allergy requiring no garlic and no onions, this managed to mess up 3 people’s mains. The order was no onions garlic or sauce. We got one with onions garlic and no sauce, one with no onions no sauce and one with onions no garlic and no sauce- couldn’t believe one different order caused such chaos

Good welcome from friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. A bit pricey,but an all round nice experience. well worth visit for a special occasion.
