Went for my birthday was really great food and great service. I would defiantly recommend to friends and family and I will definitely be going again

Lovely atmosphere and good menu. I had the crispy mushrooms to start and they are to die for I highly recommend. Good service and great range of drinks! The rekordalig botanicals rhubarb cider was heaven!

We had a great time. The service was brilliant, the restaurant had a great vibe and the food and drink was just incredible! We'll be back soon!

From the really helpful service from the waitress, to the amazing food and gin selection, already booked up to go next week, lovely venue too.

The food was lovely and it's a really nice restaurant, the staff were polite too. The only annoying thing was that we were sat very close to a really loud table of about 10 people when we reserved a table for 3 and there were loads of empty tables when we arrived and spent the evening not being able to hear each other. Everything else was great and we'll definitely go again and would recommend to others.

Really good meal to celebrate a family birthday. The antipasto was a great sharing starter and we all had steaks, rib eye, fillet and Sirloin which were all really good. Disappointing to see plastic straws still being used through, time to kick the plastic habit.

Excellent. Went for the first time for a friend’s birthday. We were not disappointed! Gin menu is double sided- don’t forget to turn over! Staff are very knowledgeable about which mixers- ask their advice if you’re not sure. Main menu- it looks expensive. It is. Every bite we had and every sip of drink we had was worth every penny. Antipasti plate was shared by 5 as a starter. There was plenty for everyone. We had: fillet, 2 x ribeye, lamb skewers and polish sausage. Everyone was pleased with their meals (my fillet was the best!). Desserts: pannacotta and chocolate waffle. More than enough for 2 to share. Highly recommend the pannacotta. Overall experience- Brilliant.

Best Sunday lunch I’ve eaten in a restaurant for ages, highly recommend. The staff really friendly and helpful. Great food choices in lovely surroundings, also plenty of different gin selections.

Quite small but does have wheel chair accessibility. Our table was on the higher level next to railings and waiting staff thought it it ok to pass drinks through railing rather than actually come to our table. Menu limited. You get a smal side with you meal ie small fries or a green salad, anything else is extra. Huge list of beers but none British so hubby had no idea what he was ordering. We had the smoked half chicken which was ok, nothing special. I had the green side salad and when I asked about a salad dressing I got a strange look and they basically brought me some herbs in oil as didn’t have balsamic or anything. It’s different, a bit more expensive but not worth the effort.

Nice atmosphere, interesting and delicious food. Great cocktails!!! Highly recommended.

Good food, pleasant, helpful staff,nice surroundings, extensive menu with good, varying choices. This was our first visit but won't be our last. All in all a good experience.

Relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, great food , this was our first time at Hops and Chops we invited friends to join us as we have been given a very positive recommendation, and we were not disappointed

Brilliant food and excellent service from all the staff! Great steaks especially the 18 oz T bone! With a modern decor and comfortable atmosphere we will be back!

They made mistakes with some food...it didn’t have everything it was supposed to have. The waitress forgot drinks orders quite a lot. Very pricey. Tasty food.

Lovely surroundings and a good indoor temperature....just right for the humid temperatures outside. Food was really good quality, nicely presented etc. Huge choice of drinks. Didn't really rate the coffee....sorry. Good service throughout the lunch.

Amazing food and excellent waitresses who definitely know there stuff. The gin menu I left them to suprise us! The Parma violet gin is highly recommended. We shall be back! Finally quality good in Northampton!! Well done Hops and Chops

Food was fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. Only criticism is we had a baby with us and the food took a while to come out.

Food was excellent, however some of the seats are not very comfortable! Other than that the place was great. Has a good variety on the menu.

I went to Hops and Chops for an impromptu Sunday roast dinner. It was easily the best roast dinner I’ve had for sometime and was followed by a really clever gin poached pear dessert. The surroundings and staff were great as was the gin menu with over 50 gins!

Best food in Northampton, polite service and all round pleasant experience. Best steaks I have ever eaten. Would recommend to any one and every one

Fabulous staff and great food! We opted for an early sitting @ 6pm. The best way to describe this restaurant is by the way we witnessed the staff interact together... They are attentive but casual, honest with reccomendations and confident with it and they are a family that work incredibly freely and efficiently. The food compliments this environment perfectly.. wholesome, perfectly presented, flavours effortlessly created through a creative thought process using fabulous ingredients. A restaurant that is worthy of slowly but surely working your way through every dish on the menu! A must try! Thanks for having us 😊

The food was fantastic, even though there was a party of 10 there was not a single complaint about any of the meals. The service was also fantastic. I would highly recommend Hops and Chops and will definitely be going again.

The food was good, but we had to wait half an hour for our starter to arrive. Good atmosphere, so long as it's not too busy and a good drinks menu. Service was alright.

We both had the Sunday roast and a dessert, all of which was delicious. Second visit here are very dufficult to find fault with anything.
