After moving away from the Holborn area 5 years ago we returned to Holborn in the summer and ensured we booked our Christmas dinner again with Isolabella. I am so please to confirm that every one of our party of 12 had a excellent evening and the service and food was as good, if not better than 5 years ago. Thank you, Happy Christmas and see you soon in 2018.

Visited last Saturday as a group of 15 for a birthday celebration. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food and wine were both lovely. Menu is extensive, almost too many options which made it difficult to choose as they all sounded incredible and didn't want to miss out.

Had a lovely evening and the food was fabulous. One downside, the water tap wasn't working in the ladies' toilet. They also let us bring our own birthday cake.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Isolabella restaurant on Saturday 12th. The food was good with generous portions and the wine list included some really lovely wines. The service was excellent and even though one member of our party had to come 30 minutes late, we were gracefully told it wasn't a problem. The restaurant was full and obviously very popular. There was a warm and friendly ambience. This is the second time I have visited this restaurant and will certainly do so again.

Frito Misto was good, but could have been hotter... Vongole was excellent and as I cant eat parsley they were happy to accommodate and add basil instead. Would definitely go back.

Staff great, nice atmosphere, wine and drinks lovely. But distinctly ordinary. My Mozzarella starter disappointing, tasteless tomatoes and the cheese must have originated from a tough old buffalo- creamy it wasn't. My main, should be a classic, liver okay, bacon underdone. It's central London, expected a considerably higher standard.

The restaurant was clean and well presented. It was a little noisy than expected but we could still have a conversation. The food was very tasty, well presented and portions were reasonable. The wine was extortionate and they were happy to let us try before we selected a bottle. I would go here again!

The service was excellent, the food was the best Italian food ever tasted, the seafood salad and prawn pasta. Highly recommend, definitely will return. The prices are also very good, it cost a lot less than I would have anticipated.

We have been to Isolabella a few times before and last night's trip on a hot evening was as excellent as ever. We arrived at a busy time and got a table which, at first, looked as though it might be in a dark back room but turned out to be under a lovely, open roof light so a cool breeze made the atmosphere excellent. They are almost always busy and so the noise was just right to allow private chat without having to strain to hear. The waiting staff are pleasant and not at all stuffy. We stuck to almost an formulaically Italian meal of starters of livers and mozzarella balls; mains of alio, olio e peperoncino and spaghetti bolognese; desserts limoncello ice cream and aranza caramallate; wine their slightly more expensive chianti. An almost corny selection by us but we have tried everything else previously and it was excellent! Recommended.

The food was fine but nothing special. The staff were rather inattentive despite it not being very busy. Also they insisted on seating all the parties on tables in one area, and leaving the rest of the room empty

This is a great restaurant. On the night they were going with two groups - one unexpected - but the care and attention of the staff was first class, as was the food.

Nice restaurant and extremely busy for a Tuesday evening. Service was very good. Although not one of my favourite Italian Restaurants. I ordered chicken & broccoli pasta which I found to be quite bland.

The service was really good. I had the white bait for starter. Presented beautifully, but unfortunately lacked any taste. The seafood risotto was really very good. Just enough room for pudding, so we shared an amaretto ice-cream. Delicious. Nice wine.
