We went to the Istanbul restaurant for our last family meal together before our daughter went back to University, so we wanted to go to a special place & the Istanbul was that special place. Straight away we were warmly welcomed, all the staff were lovely & very efficient. We had excellent meals, cooked to perfection & beautifully seasoned. The ambiance was very good too, with the Turkish music & beautiful paintings & lights, I felt I was experiencing a little bit of Turkey. A great meal & evening. We would fully recommend & will be returning.

As always the Istanbul delivered great food. We had a great evening with friends who hadn't been before and they thoroughly enjoyed the good too. The menu is extensive with an open kitchen to see your Turkish meal being cooked. The food is Devine. Well done to all at the Istanbul

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. This is the second time I have been here in 2 weeks. The food, as always is amazing, the service is great and can’t waht to go back.

Food was ok. Service was very slow. When we ordered dessert off the set menu - we where told that dessert we chose wasnt available

We had excellent service, very good food and it was very good value. yes we will go back. We came by taxi, parking could be an issue.

We love this restaurant! The food is exceptional and the staff are so friendly! The set platters are awesome and I would recommend going for those.

The meat was cooked too much and very dry.... we were very disappointed. The lamb chop was burn,'t to a cinder.. needless to say we will not be recommending it.

I really like this place. We found it by accident the first time but the food is so good and the portions are so big I can never finish them. Once of the best Turkish places in the city

As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating all our wishes in the selection of food. The presentation of the food was good and it was delicious.

Food was lovely and not expensive! I only had a main course and struggled to eat the pudding. Staff are brilliant and very friendly, very welcoming.

Food and service was excellent. We took our Grandchildren who are aged 7&8 and the staff were lovely with them. Istanbul is the 7 year olds favourite.

Amazing food and fantastic staff. Will definitely be going back .Went to celebrate my birthday and I had a free cocktail , a cake with a candle and they sang happy birthday to me .

Easy to book online. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Good size meals which were delicious. Clean and well spaced tables. Will definitely go again.

Food was great, but as we had 2 small children we was made to feel they wanted us out as quick as possible n kept rushing us.

Good food and good service. The meals were delicious and the staff very attentive. Only drawback was the price of the wine. £14 for a bottle which you can get for £3 in B&M was a bit cheeky but ww cam live with that, just won't order wine again 😀

Food was lovely plenty of it we ordered the platter for 3 people which was £37 was plenty of food could have easily been enough for 4 people, staff were very attentive even gave a free dessert as they were out of coconut ice cream

Booked on valentine night made very welcome on arrival lovely setup food and service was spot on would definitely recommend this Turkish restaurant and you must try the cocktails

Been to this restaurant several times. Food was good as always however service didn't flow as easily as it has done on prior occasions. Waiters were bringing plates of food from the grill but didn't seem to know which tables to take them too. Side dishes were forgotten and had to be asked for etc.

Excellent food, friendly service. Makes a nice change from the usual run of the mill restaurants. Try the Turkish beer very nice! Loved the decor. Will definitely return

I have been here on numerous occasions, but recently took a colleague for dinner. Service and food was wonderful as always! For me personally, it's the best Turkish restaurant in Birmingham!

Food and service was excellent. High quality, freshly prepared and tasty food. Warm and friendly waiter and waitress. Only problem was that it was a little cold in the restaurant.

Great food, extensive menu with lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Staff are always really friendly and helpful. Will becreturning in future and would definitely recommend!
