Had such a lovely afternoon tea with my Daughter and our friends at Jam Liverpool, sandwiches and cakes were all nice and fresh and an excellent selection as well as quantity, the nicest afternoon tea had by far. Jam is decorated lovely inside and a happy lively atmosphere provides a wonderful experience:)

Jam used to be a gluten free restaurant, now they are just a restaurant like every other the food is average and overpriced. With a very limited gluten free offering, in tacky surroundings.

Never been here before. Booked for a little surprise Afternoon Tea for my sister's birthday. Very busy with baby showers, etc so we were asked to leave our table. Not a problem but it would have been nice to have been told when we arrived. Had to rush out last drink as we were only given 5 minutes notice. Would return but probably not on a Saturday.

We had a nice time but cakes weren't to our liking sadly. We had the cocktail afternoon tea and so received one cocktail and had to pay extra for tea we ordered. The staff were very nice and the venue looked lovely also .

We were a party of two and having prebooked it seemed we had no table reserved for us, we were shown to whatever table was available at that time. We were sat near the door with a freezing cold breeze coming in every time the door opened. There were much better places to sit, such as the little cosy booths (one stayed empty the whole time), but that’s where we got put. We booked in for an afternoon tea with a cocktail. We were given a menu then when the server came to take our order he asked what we wanted. Seeing as though we’d booked afternoon tea I’m not sure why we needed a menu and to be asked, we thought he was perhaps just being nice and giving us a choice but then he asked if we wanted any add ons. We said no and ordered our cocktail, we chose a pina colada. It came and was the worst one we’ve ever had. It looked lovely but it was so weak and tasted just like coconut water. I couldn’t taste any Malibu rum or pineapple and it was full of ice like a frozen drink. I was expecting a creamy texture or just watery but at least with some flavour! I actually left half which I never do! The afternoon tea arrived, it was really nice with fresh food. The battenburg looked like a mini mr Kipling cut in half but it was all very tasty. After eating all the sandwiches we were still waiting for our cup of tea. We wondered if our prebooked meal included tea as our server actually never mentioned it. We looked around, everyone else with a three tier stand had tea. No one ever came to our table to check on us. Our meal was booked for 2pm. It was 2:45pm when we actually had to wave a waiter down to ask if we had tea included, he then replied yes and gave us a menu to choose! No sorry or explanation as to why we were still waiting for it. Why this was not asked in the beginning I don’t know why. If we hadn’t said we wouldn’t have got any. It still took another good ten minutes to pour some tea in a pot, we watched them behind the bar. We were offered no refills. Finally, we enjoyed the rest of our cakes but when it came to paying our bill once again we were left waiting 20 minutes, until we could manage to get someone’s attention. Overall it was a nice looking place but service leaves a lot to be desired, afternoon tea is a big deal here, surely it’s standard to give your customers tea on arrival, service with a smile wouldn’t hurt either! Honestly, was a little disappointed.

We have tried other places for afternoon tea but always return to 'Jam'. It's good food, they are happy to serve a gluten free option and they are attentive without being intrusive. 5 stars from me.

Customer service was poor. Didn't get tea with my afternoon tea. Had to ask for it. Then was questioned about my reservation if I booked for afternoon tea, which it was. On the menu is stated afternoon tea includes unlimited tea! So why was I questioned? Expected higher standards. Took way too long! Waited about 20 mins for my pot of tea after asking for it. One of the cakes had "fresh" cream on top. Was not fresh. I told the waitress

second time I have been here and not as good as the first. some of the sandwiches were stale, as was the red velvet cake. Left for 15 mins without a drink and had to ask for this when though the table next to us for a baby shower had a staff member stood by their table 90% of the time we were there to make sure they had all they need. I have got vouchers for here for 6 family members for Xmas so I'm hoping their experience is as good as my first and now this one.

Abysmal service, literally had to chase everything. Average food, overpriced considering the bland quality. Baby shower central so very loud and chaotic. Gorgeous setting though.

Food not as stated on the menu, ok... but definitely not great. There were no caramelised onions at all! with my hallumi burger. The mango and pear milkshakes were strawberry but apparently they were all made of mixed fruit?!? Had to prompt staff to put balloons on the table and ask for the birthday board which I’d specifically agreed in advance over the phone which was for 2 of our party my daughter and my best friend. A member of staff then came over to my best friend to ask her how to spell their names 😫 which spoilt the surprise!!! Thebirthday board when it came was really lovely!! Don’t think we’d go go back though

Not a traditional 'afternoon tea' experience with china cups/plates etc as it's a very modern environment but had a lovely afternoon spent with friends. It's a nice place with very good customer service and attention to detail as all needs, especially from an allegy point of view were catered for and nothing was too much trouble.
