The food was alright at best, lacking in taste and the kimchi was horrible; basically just chili sauce on cabbage and not proper fermented kimchi. The service was mediocre; staff were not very attentive. I had chirashi don which had very little fish and toppings compared to what I’ve had in other Japanese restaurants and also in Japan. A lot of the appetizers were out of stock despite it being a quiet Monday evening with hardly any other customers. Overall inefficient service and poor quality food for a Japanese restaurant.
Good food, very welcoming and Friendly staff, would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Excellent food, wonderful staff, all in all one of the best lunch experience we have had in five years of meeting each month as a group
Lovely service, great food, large choice and very fresh suishi
It was lovely, the food was great, friendly service. I really love the atmosphere.
Excellent menu and cooking. Friendly atmosphere. Good value for money.
Food was delicious.. wine went down very well. Had a lovely evening
Gorgeous food and not bad value for money! Toilets could use some love though.
Good food and service. Staffs are nice. Definitely will go again.
The food and service was amazing. I would definitely go again
We are regular and we never had best sushi (nor nationally or internationally). Incredibly fresh fish, so tasty!
We love it at Kitcho. The restaurant is often a bit cold, but provided we remember that we always have a great time and really enjoy the food.
Another great dinner at kitcho. Good service, excellent food. Over all an amazing experience.
The sashimi is very good and fresh! Would go back
Great venue, spacious, lovely decor, most importantly, sushi was fresh and delicious
Amazing food, variety of tastes - have I reached 25 words yet, I am sure I must have but maybe not actually I think I am there woo hoo
Best Japanese restaurant in Greenwich by far. Have been going for years and food and service always spot on. And their wasabi tempura prawns are astonishingly good.
Overall you the meal was very good and I would return again. I like the tempura prawns and the Daragon sushi roll. Good evening had
Beautiful food. Items from published food and drinks menus unavailable. Chaotic service. Waiting staff friendly but not on top of things. Three food orders did not appear - two were rectified late and one did not appear at all.
This was a return visit, after quite a while, with my 2 adult sons to share the experience of what I thought was a restaurant. Wrong, it was awful. The owner/manager had her 2 little kids plotted on the table behind us, obviously nobody to care for them. There were numerous things that irritated us, but worse was when the owner/manager mother went to them and started shouting, not taking notice of customers or even apologetic. Moving on. My older son is quite fussy and from the start he said the food wasn’t nice and didn’t seem fresh. We mentioned to waiter and left quite a bit of each course. Towards the end of our short evening, the owner/manager proceeded to wash and dry plates adjacent to our table, clunking away whilst wearing blue disposable gloves. She then left the washing up and proceeded to serve tables whilst wearing the gloves. We paid the bill, made a slight comment and left. I was not going to leave a review, but, I couldn’t sleep throughout the night and finally around 6am jumped out of bed in a panic to the toilet to continually be sick. The whole meal in one.
Lovely meal and very friendly service. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Food arrived very quickly as always. We can’t wait for our next visit.
The food here is really quite excellent. I love the sushi and especially the wasabi prawns. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and really friendly, hard working staff.
They serve great food for a good price. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant itself has a modern, neat atmosphere but is maybe not the coziest place. I can definitely recommend it!
Excellent, reasonably priced, authentic Japanese cuisine. The service started off a bit poor but picked up greatly towards the end. Hope to return here shortly.
We made reservation for 1pm. We got there and they said chef wasnt ready and we needed to wait. We were there with our 2 kids, 6 and 4. We waited for 20 minutes before they cam to take the drinks order, and a further 15 minutes for the food order. The rolls were average, the mains cam before the rolls, and you could tell they were not freshly cooked. There were only 4 tables with people and 2 staff, sonservice was appalling, chasing them constantly for drinks. This restaurant is also located in the dodgy area of Greenwich. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
Delicious! Great food and service, will definitely be back. I'm fussy about sushi but everything we had here was spot on. An unsung hero of Greenwich restaurants.
Very pleasant evening. The food was very good - delicious and well presented - and was served by very polite and helpful staff. Will certainly recommend and visit again.
As always delicious food and a warm reception at Kitcho. Was a busy Friday evening but still made to feel special and with an excellent dining experience.
We had sushi maki and Udon soup.. both enjoyed the food! Good quality/price! The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is kind but could pay slightly more attention to customers needs. Recommended
I went hear with my girlfriend - we both had a donburi (which we have regularly at other Japanese restaurants in London). The food was lovely and the service was both fast and attentive - thank you.
Great food. The wasabi prawns and crispy duck maki were delicious. Could use a little more atmosphere though.
Freezing, cold inside the venue. Avoid tables at the entrance. We really liked the food , very good flavours. Staff more worried about deliveries to take away than customers inside restaurant.
we had a great time as always, service was quick (unlike some time ago) and the food is still very good and at good prices
A great relaxed place, friendly staff, beautiful and calm interior, delicious food! The tempura I had was really good, light and fluffy and the ramen dishes are beautifully put together, perfect for the cooler autumn evenings. Wish we had had time to eat more from the menu.
Lovely classy food. Ground floor tables not the best atmosphere but upstairs very nice. Definitely would recommend it. Staff very nice. Sit upstairs and you will not regret it.
We always enjoy Kitcho - excellent, authentic food, very good value, friendly and helpful service. It could start to become a Friday evening go-to. Recommended.
Amazing food but dreadful service. We waited for 35 minutes at our table before we were approached!!! The nice food makes it worth putting up with the bad service!!
Always friendly staff with great service, and amazingly fresh quality sushi. The dumplings are also some of the best I've tasted. Great quirky little restaurant I can highly recommend.
Excellent food and service really delicious sushi which arrived quickly. Waiting staff were polite and helpful. Would rate really highly and good value. Will come back again.
Starters are surprisingly good and authentic. However, the entrees were a bit disappointed. We ordered a Ramen, Pork-cutlet rice bowl and a sushi rice bowl. The noodle is not the right type for the Ramen, it is for Yakisoba. Pork meat were not in good quality that you can feel it while chewing it. The sushi fishes were not fresh. Be aware, 12.5% service charge would be added on the bill that there is no option.
