The music was loud and unpleasant! The food was good and the service was very good. I will not go again due to the loud music!

Monday night last minute booking for 2 - arrived early - immediately seated in bar on ground floor - pleasant but no atmosphere for dinner. Cocktails ok - food lovely - for prices being paid / small bar area - staff could have been more attentive - initially provided with one food menu, whiskey menus and wine list between 2 - had to wait to order drinks. I would go back again for the food - but not of the atmosphere.

Loved sitting at the Sushi Bar and watching the food get made! A lovely suprise birthday dessert. Although felt pressured by the waiting staff to order, finish, leave etc... Wanted to take our time and relax!

Absolutely superb. It's impossible to explain how Sashimi and Sushi can really taste so much better than other places, but it does. As for the Dragon Rolls and Rainbow Rolls, the best in London. The service is polished and professional, the menu extensive without being so long as to get complicated or confusing. To be fair, it's pretty expensive. But what decent Restaurant in Belgravia isn't and this really is top notch. Significantly better food and service (and MUCH roomier and more pleasant surroundings) than it's nearby competitors.

Very empty and poor ambiance. Very expensive for what it was. The food was ok but nothing special. The restaurant was empty which says a lot in London...

Amazing food - subtle flavours, excellent quality fish and presented well. The portions are relatively small, but that is to be expected from a Japanese restaurant. The mains are also excellent - the sea bass and lamb chops stood out.

The food was great and atmosphere was lovely however I thought it was a bit pricey. You get what you pay for though so would definitely recommend! Black cod was beautiful.

Even if it is located in Japan, their quality would be really competitive with most of nice authentic Japanese restaurant. Sushi was great. I wish that they are hidden jewel and am concerned whether they become too popular!

Excellent food and service. Set lunch menu was good value and sufficient choice. Good location, moments from Victoria station. Went at lunchtime and the restaurant was very quiet.

We visited Kouzu for an early dinner and ordered the theatre menu. The restaurant is nicely decored, our waitress was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed each of the dishes we were served. It was quite quiet which is a shame because it seems like a decent restaurant. Decent Japanese food never seems to be cheap, and to be fair to Kouzu they offer better value than some better known restaurants in London.

We had a very good dinner, with exquisite sashimis (assortment of 12 different types), delicious black cod and good wine. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good value for money (however not cheap: 200 pounds for 2 adults and one kid).

I don't think sushi here is the best. I tried lunch course. The rice in sushi is quite firm. The waiting time is about 30 mins to get one sushi dish.

Very welcoming, helpful staff. Beautiful decor, food was delicious!!! We went for my daughter's 16th birthday, they wrote happy birthday and added a lit candle on her dessert. Little details that made her celebration special. Good central location too! I highly recommend it.

I admit that I'm a sushi snob. When I go to a highly rated Japanese Sushi restaurant, I expect the sushi chefs to be japanese and the staff to be mostly japanese who can speak and explain the dishes well. The food was good for what it was, but not authentic enough for me. The service was ok.

This is our second visit to the restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is on the whole really good, although I would say at this sort of price point you'd sort of expect an impeccable experience, and this is where Kouzu falls just slightly short. The only slight criticism I would point out is that we did feel slightly rushed in terms of the speed of the dishes being served.

Nice atmosphere, and really delicious food and wine. Relatively expensive, but it was a special occasion - would definitely go back again as the food was amazing. There were 6 of us and we all thought it was great.

The beef fillet was perfectly medium rare and melted in my mouth. The lamb was excellent (including the sides of green beans and tempura sweet potatoe) than imp tempura roll was also good. Wines were ok and servers were wonderful.

Excellent restaurant. Underpriced. Get way more than I paid. It's better than quite many michelline restaurants in London. I ordered sushi and tenpura. Both of them are highly above standard. Expedia;lay the tenpura, the not greesy at all and good proportion of frying paste

This is a great business lunch experience. Service was very professional and the restaurant atmosphere is great. Very finely prepared sushi and negiri. Nice platters to share. Tempura was light and the spicy touch added to the prawn tempura and the spicy tuna was excellent. I was not really impressed that the kitchen rushed us a little because they were closing at 3pm or near there but other than that it was really great Japanese.

Rather limited choices on the menu. I personally think the sake is over priced. The restaurant was near empty when we arrived, as it was still early, but we were placed at a table right next to the stair. The restaurant was not near half full for the full duration of our dinning there, Don't understand how they can set orders in that way.

The restaurant is set in a charming period building. Great food - sashimi and 'new rolls.' Service was great - recommended. When compared to nobu and saka na hana, I must say I preferred the food here although this restaurant is slightly on the quieter side, which suits me fine ( I attended on a Friday night, there were fellow diners on the 1st floor, however, the ground floor was closed).

Kouzu is situated on a seemingly busy corner so I was pleasantly surprised to find the dining area was quiet and easy for conversation over lunch. The food was excellent with a simple but good choice of wines. Service was excellent: explanations efficiently given for any questions regarding the menu and food brought promptly with a smile. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

What attracted to me to this restaurant was the variety, as my father is allergic to fish. There were a fair few meat options, which was perfect. All the traditional sushi was also available. I'm not so keen on the concept of new-wave sushi myself (ie: the fashion for a sushi/ceviche crossover) however I think the yellowtail sashimi with truffle dressing was the highlight of the meal. The salmon in soy and yuzu was not as successful. We followed with mains including the black cod and sea bass, both which were excellent. Such a shame that we were let down by the desserts, which were really bland. The service was also untrained, which for a restaurant of this calibre rather took us by surprise. Definitely an enjoyable meal however.

Good bar at the entrance level. Food was excellent - delicious beef tataki, spicy rock shrimp tempura, spicy California roll, spicy soft shell crab roll, Alaskan blue eye cod and Wagyu beef. All reasonable sized portions. Service very good and friendly. Not inexpensive but not prohibitive. What really let it down was that we were sat at an awful table right at the top of the stairs and the guy on the table beside me was closer to me than I was to my dining partner so make sure you ask to not have one of those tables.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Kouzu, we had the mushroom starter which was fabulous. We were a little disappointed with our main meal, we chose the tempura vegetables, the batter was very greasy, I scraped the batter off and ate the veg, which consisted of a tiny baby carrot, a slice of aubergine, part of a spring onion and some other veg that I can't remember, a small portion size meal. We did have desert but I can't remember what. The restaurant was very stylish and the staff were pleasant and attentive.

I suggest to take the rolls and the hot starters which deserve full points. The tempura was not one of the best, really oily. Salmon teriyaki was nothing special. Dessert were good in particular the chocolate dome. Cocktail were good but a little bit too ice. The location is really good.

It was alright for the price. Sushi rice was a bit stale and hard, and they did not have the whole selection of sashimi - i.e. uni & ootoro - which disappointed me as I had chosen a more upscale japanese restaurant in hopes of eating these in london.

The restaurant and bar are very laid back and cool. The food wasn't bad, although I was expecting it to be better for the price: I've been to similar pan Asian restaurants in London at a similar price point and have enjoyed nicer meals. The service was very slow, something echoed by the tables either side of us - we had to call them over to take our order each time. The staff were very busy and forgot to bring our second round of drinks even though we asked them twice. To be fair to them they did take all the drinks off the bill when we pointed out we had been charged for drinks we never got.
