Returned after 24 years, still exactly the same brilliant service and great food as you would expect from a Parisian style brassiere . Will definitely be back in the very near future

Wonderful authentic ambience, great service, friendly staff, and delicious food. I have been going to La Brasserie for over 35 years and it never disappoints! One of the few restaurants in London that remains the same.

Good service and atmosphere. Lots of good menu options. We've been coming to this brasserie many times over the years and always enjoyed the experience.

It's a favourite haunt, with lovely food and excellent friendly, professional staff. Although we deliberately booked a late lunch on Sunday to avoid the rush, there was still a lot of table-shifting to cram more people in when there really just wasn't room. Luckily we found ourselves cheek-by-jowl with a very sensitive family with extremely well-behaved children. It would have been a horrible experience otherwise and I'm not sure I'd want to chance my luck again on a Sunday.

Casual but efficient, friendly, great food, nice buzz. Always enjoyable. It's a wonderful place to have lunch and relax - you never feel that they are trying to rush you out for the next sitting.

We thought the service was poor. We waited a long time for a glass of Prosecco and found it hard to find a waiter when we needed one.

Excellent evening: wonderful atmosphere. I had been to the Brasserie often in the past, but not for a few years. It is still a great place.

We had Excellent food and good and pleasant service. We had a wobbly table which was not good for a first class restaurant! Good fish soup.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere . Such a classic restaurant where all the waiters and waitresses take their jobs very seriously and provide excellent service. It's really reasonably priced too!

Very nice place, reminiscent of being in a small Paris cafe. French toast was outstanding and tasted very fresh with fast service and would definitely return.

Always splendid and good fun since 1974. Lovely locals mix with foreigners. Food very much to our taste. Will probably also see you in beginning of December 2016. Sloane Rangers from Sandviken, Bergen, Norway

The food was amazing and the atmosphere vibrant. I felt as if we were in Paris! The Brasserie was packed, but it was still possible to have a pleasant conversation. Reasonably priced. We'll definitely go back.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but the quality of the food did not justify the price. I had a soup de poisson starter that was overly thick, bland and lumpy, followed by the house burger that was bone dry and rock hard. Would not go back again.

Atmospheric, buzzy restaurant. Service could be less brittle, but we got more or less everything we wanted on time. Food is just good but not fantastic. Falls below parr compared to average decent French restaurant in France but it's okay. Atmosphere is the key. Busy all Saturday afternoon. Sit and dream of being in Paris with the Kensington sophisticates and the odd Chelsea fan.

Chateaubriand was excellent, also good value at half price (Sunday deal). The red Bordeaux wine was perfect with the meal but was expensive. Ambience and conversation as always was exhilarating!

Excellent Escargot. Chateau Briand had to be reheated a few times but they got there in the end! The Bernaise sauce definitely needs improvement as I could taste Mayo most of the time. However other then that service and atmosphere was excellent it was a thanksgiving celebration for us!

Have been going here for years. It is a great spot and reasonably priced. The food is usual brasserie fare and done well. My only small complaint this last visit was about the special - a seafod risotto. The seafood was fine but the rice was bland and tasteless. However the oyters were good and the profiteroles excellent - filled with cream rather than ice cream, as they should be.

The wine is always chilled to perfection and the omelettes are second to none! La Brasserie's success is that it has maintained superb standards over the years.

A wonderful taste of Paris amidst hustle and bustle of a great cafe in the heart of Kingsington with great food, service, presenation, and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I have visited the Brasserie before and always liked the food but this time my John Dory was a dry and very small pice of fish. The small portion of fish was compensated with lots of Fennel shaving instead!! It is not how I expected the dish to be served! However, the desert with the poached pear was out of this world. I would say the quality is not consistent but worth trying again. M

I just love this place and have frequented it for 40 odd years. The food is great and the buzz is always uplifting and fun.

Food served before drinks. Not even tap water served although it was a very hot day. Seemed to be very disorganised staff, more interested in keeping up appearances than delivering. Won't recommend to friends visiting London.

Service cheerful but poor. Menus nice but some dishes did not live up to expectation. Dover sole swimming in butter. Steaks poor and frites better at McDonald's. We're unlikely to go back except for a drink or coffee.

Normally a really great evening, but this time because it was a bank holiday, some of the food on the menu wasn't available. They said it was Sunday service but said the Sunday specials weren't available because it was a Bank Holiday.. Also, no ginger ale available for a 7 year old (what do they use in their cocktails?). We arrived at 5.50pm but in trying to organise drinks and dishes which weren't available - see above - we ordered at about 6.05pm and they would not serve the all day menu which finished at 6pm. The tarte tatin was not as good as usual. A pity. My guests were not overly impressed.
