Very good food. The service was very good too. This is a beautiful restaurant that gives you everything you could want and expect from a good restaurant.

The food was delicious and the wine and service was faultless up until the point of leaving. Unfortunately the bill included items that we had not consumed and although it was corrected when we pointed it out it left a bad taste in the mouth.

Great atmosphere, professional service and great food. Some famous classics on the menu and keep and eye out for the Chateubriand which is fantastic. A gem in Chiswick

It's our favourite Chiswick restaurant; La Vacherin offers excellent food, a good wine list, good offers (see their website) and reminds us that Paris is only a few hundred miles away. It's a nice balance of everything.

Another fantastic meal. Chateubriand was exceptional with a great value house red. The creme brule is the best out of all the restaurants in Chiswick.

Excellent service and cannot fault food. Also very smooth processing voucher, and not made to feel different from standard clientele. Will even consider returning for special occasion without voucher discount.

The food as always was delightful. The Travelzoo offer is amazing value with wine plus tea/coffee. The Sunday lunchtime menu is more extensive and recommended.

Escargots were upside down in dish, so all the butter leaked into it. The Veloute had neither the Goat Curds nor smoked Duck. they tried to make this up by serving a glass of sweet desert wine to all at the table. would have preferred something else as none of us drink/drank it that

Always a pleasure. Food excellent and consistent. Service was a little slow on the night but they were very busy. We are regulars so will be back.

I was not impressed as the menu is limited in choice, they had run out of some items on the limited menu. Lack of flexibility

You would be hard pressed to find a better value Sunday lunch at a French restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food surprisingly good. I chose the place because the vegetarian option on the menu looked like a real dish, rather than an after thought. It turned out to be exquisite. On the first page of the wine list, was a very reasonably priced curated selection of wines. I chose the cheapest and was confounded by the excellent quality. I loved the ice bucket on the stand next to our table as much as I liked the faded awning outside. The restaurant is set incongruously in a strange part of town and was full (I suspect) of regulars; even the obstreperous screaming child on the other table didn't faze me, which is the best compliment I can give to the chef of this charming little restaurant.

Great evening at a favourite restaurant. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Tried the chateau briand which was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this lovely, friendly local restaurant.

This is a lovely neighbourhood restaurant, the food was simple, traditional french food cooked very well. It was a smart restaurant but not too over the top. Will definitely visit again.

As usual, and excellent meal with excellent service. Pheasant and pistachio terrine, followed by the Sea Bream with Mussels. Plus a chocolate sweet all from the £32 prix fixe menu. Outstanding food, service & value.

It was awful and we left! They didn't even glance at us when we arrived and after some minutes we had to interrupt them to tell them we had a reservation. They didn't refer to us by name. The service once we were seated was bordering on being ignored. We got a bottle of water and ordered a bottle of wine but half a hour later it hadn't appeared. When it came to ordering the food the dishes we wanted weren't available. At this point we gave up.

Exquisite food in a beautiful Parisian bistro setting. Professional staff who deliver an unobtrusive service. The quality of a central London French restaurant with the warmth you would expect from a neighbourhood establishment. Very reasonably priced wine list!

Our recent outing to La Vacherin was superb. A combination of great service and sublime food. The calm atmosphere along with the excellent menu choice made for a great lunch outing.

We have been before and we use as one of our supper spots where we can get a quick Black Cab there from Shepherd's Bush and back allowing us a bottle of one of their great wines from a good priced list. We try to eat early so to be in and out as there is only the two of us. Tonight was the usual, greeted, choice of table, along the banquette which allows the Wife to people watch the room, why I am I also facing the mirror. Small & precise menu with a few table carved classic dishes, some old favourites and a few specials, this is the a la carte by the way which we prefer for the bigger choice. Oysters for Madame which she loves and proved great. Snails for me as you do not get them everywhere, brilliant warm bread with anchoide, but I did ask for extra butter ! Lamb Crepinette for Madame, which won her over due to the salsify garnish. I lucked out as the Lemon Sole I fancied. It had run out and been replaced with Dover Sole at the same price although i would have paid more!. Meuniere with tartare sauce and pommes frites. side of haricot beans and more bread! Filleted it myself first as a bit of bone phobia. All very good, ate the lot! Wine a Malbec, served us the wrong one, wanted the one from Cahors but got a distant Organic Cousin from Argentina, but I didn't notice till half way through, it was good so kept stum! Dessert, Tarte Fine with Figs and vanilla ice cream, for Madame, ok pastry great but a bit big, Creme brûlée for me, favourite, 6 out of 10, only becauseIi have had it at some mega places, quick coffee for Madame, Hailo called while asked for bill, job done , taxi outside by the time the attentive staff had put our coats on! Left an extra £10.00 cash on top of service charge because felt looked after and no complaints whatsoever about the food I think good value £140.00. Left by 9pm already staring to fill. Some have the set 3 course with a glass of Proseco but a lot having the Chateuabriand at the table which looked great. Even a young lady dining on her own. Real age mix of what appeared to be local Clientele. Granny and Grandad obviously been conned into babysitting brought a little one in a pram, on a Friday Night, no problem for them to be accommodated! Overall, again, did the job will be back again and again. Well established local, going a long time and sticks to a formula that works, try it you love it!

Great food and service. The snails were delicious and the beef was done to perfection. Bravo. Would come again especially as they can cater for gluten free clients.

Rather slow if charming service and not as outstanding a meal as I was expecting. In particular, the venison was beautiful to look at but not really tasty, the pommes dauphinois rather sloppy and the chocolate fondant had a hazelnut undertaste that ruined it for me - I used to be allergic to hazelnuts. At £150 for two it was pricey, too.
