As soon as we walked through the door of Ma Egertons we received a warm welcome from the landlady. The surroundings were extremely clean and well presented. Our pizza, garlic bread and Prosecco were all of a high quality and extremely tasty; superb value for money. The photos on the wall of celebrities who have visited the pub gave us plenty to look at whilst we were waiting for our food. We will definitely return again.
Great food & perfect location we went before our show. Staff really friendly only problem just one toilet so long queues & difficult to use with 2 crutches.
What a little gem of a place, really handy for the Theatre and great value for money. Food was lovely and service great, will definitely be visiting again
The pub provided a friendly atmosphere and the staff were helpful. We had a Groupon voucher but even without this, the pub was good value for money. Tasty cocktails and delicious pizza!
Excellent food and excellent service in this quirky bar. Food and drink for 3 under £35. Cheesy dough balls are to die for, highly recommend
The pizza was magnificent and larger than expected. Service excellent and Staff couldn't do enough. Pub/restaurant was smaller than I expected but cosy and so close to the Empire. Well done!
The venue was extremely busy due to a football game. However, the staff were very accommodating and ensured that we found the table (we'd reserved). Indeed, the staff were attentive and the food excellent!
Pizza was brilliant. Staff very friendly. Great atmosphere and Prices very reasonable. Pub quiz was a good laugh, everyone got involved and had a great time .
Glad I booked very busy, had to find a chair as someone had taken one of ours, Not the staffs fault, on a plus side the pizza's we eat were lovely and I am not a big pizza lover. Would go again before we watch a show at the empire very convenient place to eat on the door step.
The food here is fantastic and excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning! The pizza was thin and so flavourful and it was so fresh.
The place was packed. I had the two for one scouse deal. The food was alright, but it was the atmosphere of the pub that made my evening special. A local recommended Ficksons beer which was jolly good.
Table reserved as asked as very busy and popular. Pizza was great with interesting toppings to choose from. Caters well for vegetarians. Close to the empire theatre.
Good atmosphere, good pub quiz banter with Tina Malone on the mic, good food
A cosy place and very friendly people. A real 'local' and we felt welcome by the regulars and the staff. Enjoyed a quiz evening, and full of fun! Would recommend to friends and family.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere! The service was quick and efficient and for a small pub it had a very good choice of beers available.
Pizzas were great and service fab, would definitely go back. A little on the dark side as the pub is only small but we ate outside and watched all the comings and goings including a wedding party as the station is right next door. Overall a lovely experience.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had in Liverpool - far outstrips all the pizza chains and much more reasonably priced. Really lovely little local pub right next to the station. Drinks are fantastic, staff always really friendly. I came for the Monday night quiz which was an absolute hoot - 6 rounds of 5 questions, ideal length (beware though, it never starts or finishes on time so you'll have to be prepared to make a whole night of it). The whole pub got involved in the singing rounds and it was a fantastic atmosphere - would highly recommend.
Could not fault Ma Egertons . Just next door to Lime Street Station .Really friendly service , great Pizzas and great value for money . Will visit again next time I am in the area
excellent home made food very handy for empire theatre and railway st. staff very friendly and inviting clean homely atmosphere and excellent prices would recommend
good location, great staff. Small location so for Theater reservations table booking is strongly recommended and also leave plenty of time to order and eat especially if the place is very busy
Lovely pub with great staff, always very welcoming. Great prices and lots of activities on through the week, quiz, sing along, jazz night! Definitely be returning
Lovely pub with interesting history and great selection of beers. Organised, friendly staff - made the children feel welcome too. Really nice pizzas, whistled-up in no time.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. This was our second visit and will return again but its best to book as its a very popular place.
Very nice pub with really friendly staff and the pizzas were lovely. The only thing that was missing were chips it would of been nice.
Fabulous, enjoyable food, very lively place but it was Aintree Festival. Friendly staff and loved the decor. NOt the largest of places but had a really good and feel good atmosphere.
This is a lovely pub with good bar food and a great atmosphere, also really well located near Lime Street station and opposite St Georges Hall in Liverpool.
Great food. Great service with polite, attentive young staff. Very handy for the Theatre. Only negative it was rather noisy at the time we were there.
Went for the Monday quiz - great fun, lots of atmosphere, cheap drinks. My girlfriend and I are quiz regulars - we'll win one day...
Great value pizza. Nice friendly pub. Ideal for a pre theatre meal with friends. Would definitely return. Used the Tastecard which made it even cheaper.
Excellent venue with very tasty food - real scouse on a cold February day - the staff could not have been friendlier and with the warm fire in this old style public house we could have stayed there all day
Great place and great value food. Perfect for pre-theatre meal. A fab Liverpool pub full of atmosphere and pics of famous actors etc who have appeared at the Empire Theatre.
