Macellaio RC - Union Street

Our lunch time was a great experience at Macellaio. The food was great as also the service.

Our meal was very good. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great!!

Nice location, we had a round table close to the fridge room which I really liked. Starters were amazing: we had battuta all’albese, lardo bruschetta and tagliere misto. Good quality and generous amount of food. We also had a pissa, good and well cooked: this is a good reason to choose this branch rather than the others. I was disappointed with the costata. I usually go for it as it has a fair amount of fat, which was missing in this case. But the main reason for my disappointment was the cooking: it was basically roasted rather than grilled. I did not expect that. And too much salt on it. Desserts were average. Service nice and kindly as usual. Great experience but overall not really good value for money as it is still very experience (around 180 pounds, no wine or drinks) and the meat (main reason to go to macellaio) was cooked poorly.

The whole experience from amazing from the minute we arrived. Our waitress made sure we were comfortable, helped with menu selection and even provided blankets for my daughters cause we opted to sit outside. I will recommend Macellaio RC - Union Street to family and friends. Very satisfied.

We had a really nice experience! However I should have not booked on Valentine’s Day because there was not much available apart the Set Valentine’s Day menu. We will try again on a less popular day!

If you want to eat meat, the real good meat, this is the right place the starters were delicious, we loved them. My favourite was the steak tartare. I really recommend this place, it's the second time for me I will come back again for sure

Finally I found the best steak in town. I'm a steak lover and tried many places but Macellaio tops them all. Casual yet cozy ambience, very friendly staff and a opvery thought through wine list, even by the glass. Absolutely stunning the Focaccia di Recco, can easily compete with Manuelina's. A little pricey, true, but top quality food ain't cheap, right? Well done fellows!

Lovely lunch for four; we chose the bruschetta and focaccia between us for starters and for mains we had steak with Gorgonzola, the gnocchi and pasta ragout. We shared a bottle of Prosecco and finished off with some amazing espresso martinis 🍸

Come dice il nome, la carne è ottima e ben cucinata. Il personale é attento e disponibile. Come ambiente personalmente ho preferito il locale di Kensington.
