Fantastic service!! The staff are very friendly and very attentive. They were fantastic with our 2 year old daughter. The food was delicious!! We will definitely be returning! 😁

Lovely food with a good selection of options. I chose starter from specials board which was devine. The service excellent and friendly and the restaurant had a chilled ambience. Authentic and intimate venue.

This was our second visit and was as good as the first with the exception of tiramisu not being available. Excellent food and service. It will definitely be a repeater!

A lovely restaurant food was delicious .I would have rated it a six if it had all the dishes available on the menu ,we will definitely return though and totally recommend the prawn starter was delicious .

This really is a wonderful Italian restaurant as the food was top notch, Service fantastic and the price very reasonable indeed! Their specials are well worth considering too. A great selection of wines, where we would highly recommend their Chianti. ⭐️🌟⭐️

We have eaten here before and always very happy. The special menu for Valentine was enjoyable and good value. However, my only negative is that it is never warm in the restaurant.

Quite a cosy restaurant as it only seats about 30/40 people, food is excellent but the service is a bit slow, so if you enjoy a chilled evening I recommend you try.

The food was lovely. Carpaccio and calamari to start were perfect in terms of taste and portion size. The wine list seems very expensive compared to other Italian restaurants we have been to. This would be my only criticism. Had the wine been more reasonably priced we would have had more than the one glass each. I accept wine is dearer in restaurants but that is some serious margin and only served to stop us ordering more. Lovely food though and great decor. Very pleasant dining experience

The food was absolutely stunning. This place needs more support. The service is goo, food excellent. Lacks a little ambience but just needs a bit more support. I have become reluctant to use the rival Italian in Gatley as they have become greedy packing people in and making it an uncomfortable experience. I would prefer to use to support this one as much as possible from now on.

Everything about Montelcino is outstanding. Although prices are very reasonable, the quality of the service, the produce and the cooking are excellent. This is the second time I have visited and am only surprised that, on a Saturday night, the restaurant was only half full. I would highly recommend anyone trying it out - it's really, really good!!

Unfortunately only 4 people in the restaurant, probably due to it being bonfire night. Food good but wine expensive for what it was. Will try it again.

The menu has a good choice of dishes. The service is attentive. Our food was freshly cooked and well presented. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Montalcino again.

Brilliant place, staff exceptional brought us bread and oil as an appetizer even though it wasn’t on the menu. Chicken liver starter outstanding cannot wait to return.

Fantastic pasta dishes - had salmon tagliatelle with asparagus, cherry tomatoes and a touch of chilli. Lovely, waiter with just the right level of attentiveness. Nice cosy ambience . Will definitely return.

Great food and friendly staff as always. Montalcino is rapidly becoming one of our favourite places. First visit for the friends we went with but I think they will be back.

The food was ok , nice atmosphere. Small venue , limited menu. Overall quite pleasant and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly , will go back later in year to try other stuff on the menu.

Excellent food, excellent service - we booked early evening because we had three children with us and despite the early time, the atmosphere was really good - we've now been twice and this will be our regular "Italian" from now on !

A very pleasant, tidy and professional establishment. The menu was very standard Italian fayre, no surprises , everything you would expect and I was pleased that the food was served quickly and tasted fantastic.

Great food overall, but our choice of beef carpaccio was unavailable and the chicken Caesar salad did not come with little gem lettuce as was stated on the menu. Staff were friendly and atmosphere pleasant.

Great little place,friendly staff, pizza base very good,pasta was very tasty and nice, reasonably priced, would definitely return just for the pizza 🍕 but all food was great.

Small and intimate, easily the nicest restaurant currently on the Gatley 'Strip'. Sensibly priced wine list, been back twice since our first visit - not tried desserts yet, looking forward to getting the chance!

Thursday evening and very quiet but still good. The specials are always worth going for and the swordfish this time was no exception. Great food, service and wine - try it - highly recommended.

Excellent meal in a stylish but welcoming setting. Would be useful to provide details on the menu of the accompanying veg/potatoes with the main fish and meat dishes. Definitely will return.

We went on a last minute booking on New Year's Eve and managed to get a table - great. The welcome was warm, the service efficient and the food delicious. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal, good atmosphere and good food. Small restaurant seats 36. Good decor. We had 3 adults and two children and all enjoyed their meal. The Merlot was very good.
