On a very busy night they sat us pretty quickly, service was a little slow but considering every table was full it was understandable. Would 100% go back! (Would improve my Italian if I did ;) )

Great food great service and lovely atmosphere! Very tasty good value for money menu ! Oysters mussels haggis were lovely but rib eye steak was exceptional and could have cut with a butter knife ! Totally recommend!

Very good food and friendly service. We had a steak, which was done on point, and shellfish. Fish was really fresh and good quality.

Luckily we booked a table, due to its popularity it was busy but didn’t mind waiting because the food was excellent. If you are coming book a table to avoid disappointment ( but if it’s busy it must be good ).....the food is amazing and the portions aren’t shy.

Great sweet spicy pork ribs and soup! The service was quick and efficient though there were a lot of people. Luv it：）

All the food was delicious — the mussels with two different sauces (curry coriander and wine garlic), the queen scallops starter, and the amazing chips. Service was quick and our Portuguese waiter was lovely. The prices were reasonable too. Would return when I’m back in Edinburgh.

Steak and mussel restaurant was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent! Me and my mate shared the 32oz tomahawk steak, it was cooked perfectly, but I think I could have eat it myself 😋😉

We were there for the seafoodplatter, unfortunately there were no lobster or crab, but they did the best to serve us a small platter. The staf was very friendly but onze of them was too nerveus running arpund and achting like he was werking in an Italian busy restaurant....

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and customer service was fantastic. Will definitely be back again, can’t recommend highly enough. Lovely atmosphere and dining experience. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Good food, but it took ages to arrive, and it was a bit pricy. The location is fantastic, and the chefs obviously know there stuff, but the atmosphere is a bit off. The interior reminded me of a yacht from the 80s, there was no music, and the lighting wasn't helpful. Friday night you would expect locals to be drinking and eating oysters and mussels and enjoying some good house music, but the restaurant was instead half-filled with confused looking tourists. I'm sure this place is semi-succesful as is. But how many of your customers are repeat customers? This place has so much potential. Go eat out at some popular restaurants - do your market research - and fix your atmosphere and interior. Maybe hire one more chef so things move quicker in the kitchen. And update your wine and drinks menu - it's very limited. I won't be returning (until things change).

We ordered the Mussels and they were fantastic. Service was very friendly and we had timely serving with a smile. We will certainly go back on our next visit to Edinburgh.

It’s the second time I’ve eaten here and I had exactly the same one year later: oysters to start with and then the steamed seafood platter. Absolutely delicious. Service is excellent and I felt well looked after as a person dining on my own. It was pricey but worth every penny.

Great service with excellent food and the perfect location for an evening out. This was my second time to M&S and they did not disappoint. Wonderful.
