It is located in the center and easy to reach on foot. Amazing food at really good prices. Loved it! I will definitely come back.
Nice food pleasant staff but slow inattentive service meant we had to keep asking where our food was and veg delivered 10 mins after mains
Fantastic! Amazing seafood & steak. Well worth the journey from London to Edinburgh ... to dine here. Will be back. Don’t know when but look forward already!
We were in Edinburgh to visit the Christmas Market. This is now an annual event and as usual we booked a table at Mussel and Steak Bar. Yet again we were not disappointed. The food was very good and the staff were very attentive throughout our visit. I would recommend a visit
Good overall - excellent service! A bit disappointed-we wanted the seafood platter, but no lobster today. The alternatives we had were good, but not outstanding.
Fantastic staff, great food, friendly service and a great location. Nothing whatsoever to complain about - a first class meal and a lovely time. Recommended!
Great food and service, we always go out of our way to visit. The service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend the Mussel and steak to all.
We will quickly come back to see you. We enjoyed the setting and the perfect meal for us. Gladly another time. Thank you very much
Gorgeous food and atmosphere. Kids loved it and were welcomed with colouring etc. My boy devoured an adult mussels followed by child’s steak. Super service too.
Nice food. Quite simple. A little bit pricey though The steak was about £25. And just came with tomatoes on top. And there was no bread with the mussels.
Best mussels in Edinburgh, and I have tried many! The guys here really understand seafood and do not overcook them, or put too much salt unlike many other establishments. Mussels are plump and delicious :) Very popular with Japanese visitors and local residents.
Good food. Very noisy atmosphere. Small table pushed right up to the hot radiator and next to the serving station so not pleasant or quiet
I had one of the most enjoyable meals out that I have ever had. Fantastic first time experience of oysters. Delicious mussels and steak. Will be recomemding this restaurant
Fantastic food, very friendly staff and if you have the lunch special exceptionally priced. I had black pudding and haggis sausage roll, partner had celeriac soup both delicious followed by mussels mmm
Booked here for lunch before heading to the rugby, food was fantastic, would definitely recommend the mussels with whisky and bacon sauce. Excellent fast attentive service. Will definitely be back!!
Atmosphere is nice and food is not bad.But although we ordered medium cooked meat, they served well-done.Beside they were not very hot. It was so uncomfortable.
We had a lovely meal, at a great table by the window. Food was lovely, with a good lunch menu. Staff were great with good service. Definitely one to recommend.
Superb food, lovely atmosphere. Great steak and mussels as you would expect. Wonderful indulgent evening. Staff attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely visit next time we are in Edinburgh.
The mussels were the best we have ever eaten. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The interior was nicely decorated and very clean. We would highly recommend this restaurant!
This is a warm, welcoming restaurant. The service was excellent and my meal was superb. The only downside was the amount of gristle on my husband's steak.
The food was absolutely lovely and the staff so friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend and return for an evening out. Not the cheapest, but worth it.
Very pleasant atmosphere with very polite and helpfull staff. Food was amazing, best steak I have had for a very long time. We will definately return next time we are in Edinburgh.
A Great place, delicious food and good wine. Service was ok. Still a great place to eat and not to miss!! I love this restaurant.
Good experience and the new menu was great. Service from David was excellent and he looked after us very nicely! Great selection of drinks to choose from.
Outstanding service and amazing food. We had the surf and turf - our steaks were cooked to perfection and the mussels were fat and juicy.
The food is absolutely divine. The steak is beautifully cooked, with hardly any fat on it. The sauces are delicious I have tried both the pepper sauce and the whiskey sauce and they are spectacular. The cheesecake for dessert I highly recommend, it is undoubtedly the best cheesecake I have ever tasted and possibly one of my favourite desserts. The service is very polite and fast, I absolutely love going here and it is so far my favourite Edinburgh restaurant.
Superb food and great service in a wonderful location. Great range of fish and meat cooked to perfection. What’s not to like. Thoroughly recommended to everyone.
Fantastic experience. Eaten here a few times when being hosted by Scottish Rugby Union. First time as a 'tourist'. The food was quite frankly THE best meal I have had. The steak and mussel main course was to die for and value for money. David the wait or was exceptional. Friendly ambience and recommend to anyone!
Seafood was fresh and very tasty. Large portion size, mussels good value for money. Steaks cooked to perfection and yummy desserts. Staff very helpful and friendly.
After being there a few times before, I prefer the old day time menu. My companions felt the same.we had the 2 course for £13. Starter small and found the beef very dry... had to ask for more sauce. Oyster shots were good.
The food and the service were second to non. We will be back as soon as we come back to Edinburgh. Just perfect and amazing
High prices £220 for 4 people and still had crisp when I got home! Poor seating. Tiny scallop starters. Pushed in the corneron the second floor.
Lovely staff, high level of cuisine and quality of ingredients, everything was fresh, definitely an owner that knows how to run a restaurant, money well spend.
Awesome steaks best I’ve had for a long time definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a perfectly cooked steak.
Portion of mussels was huge and very tasty. Filet was cooked as ordered and tender. Sides, salads and basket of bread are all extra. Service was excellent. Tables are crowded together, so not romantic atmosphere. Dinner for 2 with 1 cocktail,1 glass of wine and tip ran £96.
Menu was not exciting as we expected. Mussels were very small and over cooked and menu was overpriced. There are restaurants serving better fish and seafood close by.
I ate oyster , mussels , steak . So , very good taste!! also pudding with ice cream is very good. And , stuffs is very very nice !! I like this restaurant!
A delicious meal with excellent service. The quality of the food was great and the amount received was fantastic aswell. Well worth the price for a special treat.
Really enjoyed my dining experience here - was such a lovely atmosphere with some beautiful food - a definite must if visiting Edinburgh! The quality of the steak and presentation was simply fabulous!
Locale piccolo e intimo, in poena Old Town, ottimo cibo e servizio. Peccato so per il vino con il tappo a vite, anche se buono.
