Once again a good meal with pleasant and efficient service.

Lovely food, great table and atmosphere. Excellent friendly service. Made to feel welcome.

The staff was very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Lovely Pub and food was to die for! However, the booking with quandoo didn't go through.

When arrived, we were left waiting to be seated whilst staff carried on talking to others. Because we had dogs, we were asked to be seated in Conservatory, whilst later on, other customers was in Lounge with they're dog. Food was lovely, but service was shocking. We waited one hour from starter to main course, after we had prompted staff where our meal was. Steak was ordered with no steak knife. If I return, I hope that staff numbers would be increased to accommodate number of customers.

I’ve visited twice in the last three weeks even though it’s 40 miles from home but it’s well worth the travel. Food is absolutely delicious, We took the dogs both times so sat in the bar area and it’s a lovely cosy feel. Staff make both you and your dogs welcome. They couldn’t do more for you if they tried. I’ve had both an evening meal and a Sunday lunch and despite being a picky eater they have cater beautifully for me both times. It’s also a great stop off if you are visiting the Northumberland coast. I will 100% be returning.

Booked 7 weeks ago as a thank you treat for family. Very busy on arrival with a large party in and turning people away but we’d had a good meal there in the past so confident they would cope as seemed to be plenty of staff. However 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, 45 minutes for first course with apologies that they had to serve the large party first. But it was 90 minutes, yes 90, from arrival until main course came after very polite chasing, further exacerbated by seeing people who had arrived later than us with finished meals as I walked through the bar which were things like fish and chips which we’d ordered. Again apologies all round and food was fine but totally spoilt my day and embarrassing as I had booked the meal. Got a substantial reduction on the bill as I complained we should have been asked to arrive earlier or kept informed what was happening so we could have chosen to go elsewhere. Such a shame but won’t be returning and cannot recommend a place that failed me so badly

We couldn't have asked for more! We stepped out of the bitterly cold weather into a wonderfully warm, inviting and happy atmosphere. Courteous and considerate service from the first moment, nothing too much trouble, food excellent and one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had! The restaurant was decorated very tastefully and all of the staff were charming. We're joining you again on New Year's Eve and very much looking forward to it! Unreservedly recommended.

We came at 12pm on 4th December with our dog ... everyone was so nice and kind ..we were made to feel so welcome and the dog menu brilliant.. This was our 1st time here but DEFINITELY will not be our last .all the staff were so lovely and very polite..I will be recommending to people see yous very soon xxx
