Super ambiance in a great location and so popular, I can see why. Food was excellent matched only by the quality of service provided by courteous and helpful staff. Well done to all and especially the kitchen for preparing and presenting such wonderful food. Will go again and highly recommend.

It was great and dogs were welcomed. They brought them water bowls without asking.

After a disfunctional start on our part, the staff was very accommodating and able to switch our table. All the staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. All 6 of use had a roast dinner and sides which was all very enjoyed. The meats was fantastic. Dog meal lovely, and eaten very quickly by our dog who quickly fell a sleep once we returned home.

The food was amazing just felt like we waited a very long time for it. It took about 45 minutes from order which I felt was a bit too long we should have been notified it would take that length of time.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great and we did not feel at all rushed.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. This was consistent throughout our visit. Food options were very good. We had Sunday lunch of beef and lamb. Meal sizes were just right. Food well cooked. Restaurant very busy but no issues with service etc.

A great pub, in a lovely town. I hear stories about the Sticky Toffee Pudding, but we'll have to try that next trip. I'll definitely be back.

Food was excellent. Service was slow and we had to ask to order, ask for menus and then ask where our food and drinks were after waiting for quite a while.

We have eaten here twice in a week. Both meals were very good. We have tried other restaurants in the area but would recommended the Northumberland Arms.

Food simply amazing. 3rd visit in 4 weeks for Sunday lunch, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the food always the same high standards. Love cosy bar amd great attentive staff also warrant the high score.

The food was good (although the sea trout very much looked like farmed salmon to me). However the service was poor. Limited veggie and no alcohol options.

Loved the food and the staff. Rare in their very high quality. Nice selection of drinks, lovely fresh soup that was neither too salty nor too floury, but fresh and very good indeed. Atmosphere would also have been lovely, but for the child on a nearby table having a tablet with cartoons and games on using the internal speaker quite loudly, but that's not the fault of the venue.

Really lovely meal, enjoyed the vegetables which were cooked beautifully,not soft and soggy!

We had a pre dinner drink in the bar before our meal. The menu choice was varied. Our order was taken after a short while. The mains were delicious, desserts were equally as good. Not only did they taste good, but they looked fabulous too. Overall a really good experience and well worth the money. Looking forward to going back soon.

Very nice experience the only thing I would say is I would have liked a few vegetables with my chicken priced at £17.95carrots or broccoli would of been perfect ,croquet potatoes very small pieces of sweetcorn were served with this dish.
