Taken more bookings than they can cope with. After an hour, with no food we left !
We had a lovely meal. Service was spot on. Thank you.
Not a busy night but despite having our order taken by the front of house team, our food took 45 mins - 60 mins to arrive. While the food was fine.. the delays were upsetting. Desert also came slowly so our dinner took over 2 hours. It would have been helpful to know there were fewer kitchen staff than usual and to expect delays. Given chouce of other venues in the area... we might not go back.
Food was amazing but service very lacklustre. We waited a long time for orders to be taken, for food to arrive and no one asked us if we wanted another drink etc in between. One of the waitresses spent more time chatting with her friends than tending to the customers.
Lovely family meal. Just a little slow between starters and main course, which was a surprise as didnt seem overly busy, but otherwise excellent food and service.
The food was delicious and would highly recommend. Our party of 4 all enjoyed their meal. Service was good and the atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.
Sunday lunch was OK. Meat cut paper thin and roast potatoes hard. Lovely staff.
You really couldn't get much better!! Great food, ambience and service, and super dog friendly too!!!
Our first visit to The Northumberland Arms for Sunday Lunch. The reason being Mother’s Day We all enjoyed Sunday lunch and the food tasted amazing. The service and staff were fantastic Definitely recommend
Fabulous service from the moment we walked in. Lovely staff and great food. Will definitely be returning.
4th visit here. Standard always the same. First class food, staff and environment. Will be coming again
Very nice setting and lovely atmosphere. Food was nice, had the salmon starter then lamb. Only criticism was that the food was rather salty, perhaps less salt in future
Food was delicious and service was excellent. My wife is coeliac and loved that the fish and chips was available for her. Sauces were really tasty. Very good experience at a reasonable price
Superb food , amazing service and great surroundings thanks very much
Visited as a party of 3 on Mothering Sunday. Enjoyed a selection of breads and spreads with olives, starters, mains, dessert and drinks. Really great experience from start to finish. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Venue, including the toilets, were spotlessly clean. It was great to be able to bring the dog along with us who was also very well looked after and provided with her own water and a biscuit. The highlight was the taste of the food. Quite often I am disappointed when having a Sunday dinner outside of the house but not this time, each element was incredibly tasty in its own right, the mash was some of the best I've ever had! They were also very accomodating of my 93 year old grandma who only wanted a small portion, she isn't always able to eat much but ate everything on her plate and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our only comment would be that the vegan of our party was looking forward to a proper dinner and would have appreciated a vegan version of the Sunday dinner however was chuffed to see a vegan sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu!
Love this place, and the food and service is excellent. We have visited often. Just spoiling our visit was 2 large groups with noisy and crying children, in the conservatory room, would have preferred to be in the main part of restaurant/pub.
We really enjoyed our visit. Great food, great service, lovely surroundings.
Amazing food, lovely venue and brilliant staff. Will be back, would highly recommend
The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. Would highly recommend!
Never been here in years and the food and service was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
Delicious food. Very efficient service in a very stylish relaxed setting . Our dog was also made very welcome 😊
From arriving and throughout our visit we received excellent service. The decor is really lovely giving the bar area a warm feel. The food was delicious - we ate from the light bites menu and had a beef ciabatta with fries and gravy and a fish finger ciabatta with fries. Both were delicious, swiftly prepared and the bread was super fresh. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.
A cozy , welcoming pub in the village of Felton. I had made a very specific seating request in advance, based on a local resident’s recommendation and the staff sat us there with a smile. The food was delicious, well priced and served with care and attention to detail. The staff were friendly, discreet and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would have no hesitation in returning.
Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was exactly as it said on the menu, and it was delicious.
delicious food at a reasonable cost and warm service. thank you
Excellent tasty food, great atmosphere and really friendly staff, would definitely recommend.
Great service and delicious food (even for the dog). Lovely atmosphere. Recommended!
Best meal I ve had in a long time. I chose the vegan pie, meal was hot and tasty. We ll be back x
Excellent food, good portions especially the fish and chips. Accommodated change request from chips to a salad.
Visit this pub/restaurant frequently. Always have an excellent experience here. Very good food with excellent friendly service and atmosphere.
Lovely place for Sunday lunch, good service, food was delicious and overall good value. Our dog was made welcome too and enjoyed his sausage and mash from the doggy menu!
One of our favourite places to go, especially for Sunday Lunch, staff are lovely too, food is fantastic
Quickly seated water served , drinks order taken very friendly service, food order taken, arrived quickly , food was beautifully cooked and served, the beef was gorgeous, overall an excellent Sunday lunch and a good experience 👍
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent.
Staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Husband had a steak and it was cooked perfectly and I had steak and mushroom pie, so much meat in it. All freshly made. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent food as usual .not very busy but found the service a bit slow on this visit.
Food was very good and the surroundings were great. The staff were fantastic until we had finished and then we felt ignored. Overall very good and would recommend to anyone.
Arrived a little early, but it was no trouble as our table was ready. Loved the food as it looked great and tasted a good as it looked. Service was great despite a busy restaurant with groups coming and going. Well worth a visit as we have always enjoyed eating at the Northumberland Arms for the past 8 years since moving to the area.
A place to visit. Amazing food and service. Well worth the visit
Christmas money from our daughter Best Sunday dinner we have ever had
Lovely place to eat. Quick, polite service and the food is gorgeous 😍
Great service, lovely food and a brilliant atmosphere that is a perfect balance between formal & casual. The Northumberland Arms is a great reimagining of an English pub, brought up to date.
Great food and service in a lovely pub atmosphere in the village
lovely food, Sunday roast, only suggestion , we ordered a side of cauliflower cheese for £4 and it was very small. Everything else fab
Fabulous Sunday lunch and great service at a reasonable price.
Nice bar , friendly staff who were attentive. Food great.
Amazing food and great staff and setting. Well worth the price.
Food was amazing and really enjoyed our visit - only small issue was there was quite a wait for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait when it came :)
Food was absolutely exceptional at The Northumberland Arms we passed on our compliments to the Staff to tell the Chef. Hands down the nicest dessert I have ever eaten. The staff were so lovely and informative too, cannot wait to return as I have heard the Sunday Lunches are amazing well worth the 47 mile drive from our home in Durham.
Outstanding, from the food , the staff , the atmosphere and surroundings all amazing.
