Nova

My friend and I had a fantastic lunch at Nova yesterday. We were given a very friendly welcome and promptly seated at our requested table. While we were considering our menu choices we were given a delicious complimentary amuse bouche which set the scene for our superb lunchtime experience. The food was prepared and presented to a top quality standard and we were particularly impressed with the waitress's enthusiasm and knowledge of the ingredients of each dish we asked about. Value for money at lunchtime cannot be bettered locally. Moya is a very talented and creative chef supported by a superb team at front of house and in the kitchen. Thank you for an excellent meal and experience.

We go to Nova every time they change the menu since the food is always excellent, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is a pleasure to eat in.

I love Nova, and have done since it opened. It's such a hidden gem with outstanding quality, amazingly crafted dished and a really relaxed ambience, all of this for an incredibly reasonable price. Personally i think it's the best restaurant in Heswall and have recommended many times.

Fantastic food, presented beautifully & tasting delicious. A warm, friendly service & a very different menu. Love the amuse bouche too! We would love the chewy meringues to be added to the menu too, please?

Great restaurant the staff were very friendly . We were looked after we'll all evening and food was delicious and cooked really well lots of flavours Would recommend a visit.

We visited Nova mid week for a family meal and as usual everything was lovely. New menu but food remained excellent. Beautifully presently and tasted amazing and served by lovely friendly staff. Always a pleasure to dine at Nova.

Top notch food, excellent service. Enjoyed the canapés and interesting menu choices! Rabbit pie served with fricasse was delightful, great value will visit again, keep up the good work

Super evening. Our second visit to this restaurant. It was a friend's special birthday and the meal was superb and the staff attentive and patient. We would definitely go there again.

A great restaurant! The food was excellent, beautifully prepared, cooked, and presented. Staff very helpful and capable. Premises nicely laid out and decorated. Everything was timed well, and you weren't rushed for anything. Complimentary bread, lamb burgers, and chocolates went down well too. We'll be going back, definitely.

This restaurant is a big step up above others in the Heswall area. The imaginative cooking and presentation is exceptional. Service also first class.Could only highly recommend.

We had a delicious meal from the festive menu this Tuesday evening. My complaint is that I expected the Early Doors menu would be available as stated on the website -in fact my decision to book was based on the choices on that menu rather than the festive menu. When I asked about the early doors menu , I was told that it being December the festive menu was the only set menu available and that it said so on the website . Well if it is on the website it is very well hidden! - and I do feel it should state clearly that the early doors menu is not available in December if this is the case.

A great evening at Nova,the food and service are excellent and the early doors menu very good value. Nova is by far the best resturant in Heswall.

My wife and I have enjoyed lunch and dinner at Nova on several occasions, sometimes with friends or family. It's a delightful restaurant. Moyo (the chef/owner) is a great chef. His dishes are always imaginative, well prepared, and beautifully presented. Nova is reasonably priced and has an excellent wine list. Service is efficient and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Nova.

As always the meal was good. Everything came with a small twist to enhance the flavour and appearance. One of the party particularly liked the game on offer. An enjoyable evening

Food top quality and presented well. Cheeseboard is one of the best I have had. Staff pleasant and lovely ambiance. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for Christmas Day.

Lovely food well presented, very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient waitress who overheard a mention that it was our friend's birthday treat and the chef wrote a "Happy Birthday" on his sweet plate, he didn't want any fuss but was delighted by this touch. A very pleasant evening recommended to anyone.

Party of 5 for a quiet weekday birthday lunch celebrataion and fair to say all of use really enjoyed the food. Superb quality as normal supplemented by the 'little extras' both at the start and at the end. We will be back again!

Every dish we chose was beautifully prepared and presented. Staff were welcoming and efficient. We were able to choose a quiet corner for our dinner although the restaurant was absolutely full by the time we left. Thanks very much.

Ther are some very positive features about Nova: the room is a a very intimate one, the service is very friendly and attentive, the wine list has some very good value options and the menu is interesting. The slight negative features for us on our visit was that the gap between the first course and second course was rather too long and the dishes didn't quite live up to the promise of the menu. These are minor points relative to the overall experience, however, and we will definitely return.

This was our first visit and did not live up to its reputation. Starters were lovely but main courses were disappointing. The waitress served the incorrect sauces with the duck and steak which obviously wasn't ideal. The fish was overcooked and the steak wasn't cooked medium rare as requested. Desserts as a rule were lovely but the allspice ice cream was quite unpleasant. We will not write it off without another visit.

Nova has great food and a really nice atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and didn't have to wait too long between courses. Location is great, right near the centre of Heswall.

Nova where highly recommended by members of my family and friends. From moment we arrived till we left the staff & service was excellent. The food was prepared cooked & served perfectly. we will highly recommend nova to anybody who wish to go for a good Quality meal.

Lovely meal, but you have to remember that the water is charged for and all vegetables are extra. Wine a bit pricey. Would go again but this time I will be aware of the extras.

Beautiful food and warm & friendly service. We stuck to the early doors menu just because it looked as good as a la Carte and it certainly was. Great value.

Slow service. After 10 minutes waiting had to ask a waitress if she would take a drink order. Under seasoned and over priced starter of crab scotch egg. Over cooked rack of lamb.
