We had the pre-theatre menu which is very good value. The food was good and the service very pleasant. The surroundings are lovely and relaxing. This was our second visit and we will be going back again soon in the next few weeks.
Like a private club dining room, tables well spaced out. Tou can have a conversation and hear what tour partner is saying. Lovely home cooking, generous portions. Masses of different Vodkas....
This was our first visit and we didn't know what to expect. Well, the food was very tasty, the service efficient and there was a nice atmosphere. All in all, very good and we shall go back.
Three for dinner on a Wednesday night. Not too busy when we arrived but buzzing by the time we left. Food was very tasty and the portions just the right size. The wine list was reasonable - we chose a bottle of the Georgian red which was very drinkable. Service was friendly. Will definitely come again.
This restaurant offers excellent meals in a very beautiful dining room. The atmosphere is calm and elegant and the service is first class. We cannot wait to go again.
Great service, enjoyed theatre menu, lovely ambience. Attentive and pleasant service from the staff, had the crayfish and crab starter, salmon pastry main and creme butler desert.
Lovely food - the steak tartar was almost as good as my mom's! Attentive staff and buzzing atmosphere. On the downside, alcohols [especially wine list] a bit overpriced but in the end of the day alcohol is not compulsory ;) Also a bit of a back ground music would be a nice touch. Apart from that great evening, thank you.
Outstanding food & great atmosphere! A different and more intimate ambience than Baltic but just as good - with a great range of Vodkas to finish dinner !
Delicious food, we return time after time and each time we introduce new friends to the restaurant. The service does seem to be a little impersonal however.
Always a pleasure to dine at Ognisko - bar area perfect for relaxing whilst waiting for friends - team attentive as always during the meal but not over bearing - only thing was the pea and ham soup was really more like vegetable broth - but still enjoyed ... Am sure will be back.
Excellent, delicious upmarket Polish food, served by very professional and attentive staff in beautiful surroundings. Great wine list, but more fun to choose from their enormous range of flavoured vodkas or well-executed cocktails.
Delish food and wonderful helpful staff! I had the pork knuckle which was excellent! Thoroughly recommend
Fantastic food. Great place, drink list at great prices. All accompanied by a perfect service
Fantastic restaurant great food Sarna and Goose leg yumyyy Come back soon
Ognisko restaurant is quite simply the finest place I have ever dined in my life. The cocktails (we had Martinis) set the mood and the food was really exceptional, served in a magnificent candle-lit space by attentive, friendly and professional staff. We shall return !
Amazing atmosphere- delicious food ! Best cherry vodka. I will definitely visit again .
Lovely restaurant. Food was tasty, service was good and staff were attentive and friendly, and its position relative to the Royal Albert Hall made it very convenient for a pre-show meal. Would recommend.
I went for Sunday lunch .it was lovely very good service and excellent food and lovely cocktails menu I will recommend lovely cold vodka with elderflower cordial
Excellent food, excellent service, great location close to Royal Albert Hall. Polish food is not just about herring, it is varied and delicious. Their Vodka cocktails are worth going back for after the show
Elegant dining in a unique setting. Polish cuisine is delicious and different.
Good food and service as always! Nice ambience and great location
Poor atendence around table far from rich polish cuisine, good location but pricey for its quality not impressed
Old world with a modern twist - fabulous food - would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for top class Polish food - go!
Not a single bad word to say about my experience at The Ognisko. I will definitely be coming back very soon!
Our first visit . Thoroughly enjoyed it. Food.service and ambience all excellent. Will certainly visit again when in London. Would be very happy to recommend it especially the chocolate desert !
truly wonderful place. The goose was great. The racuchy always worth a try. Great advertising for Poland and Polish cuisine and history.
had been meaning to go there for ages as I read a good review in one of the Sunday papers. They were right. Fabulous place, great Polish food, wonderful service, beautiful room. Can't fault it. Can't wait to return.
Excellent service and food and all on time to attend a concert at the nearby Royal Albert Hall. I would recommend the pre-theatre standard menu.
What a fabulous restaurant! Two minutes walk to Albert Hall so perfect for pre or post concert dining. Great ambience. Excellent service - friendly & relaxed yet super efficient. Food very high quality. Polish with a modern twist. Good sized portions and 'unfussy'' relying on quality ingredients. Bread so good I nearly had to cancel my main! We dine out a lot and couldn't fault this restaurant. We will certainly return and tell all our friends. Madeline & David . Cambridge
Fabulous atmosphere and food. Lovely staff. Only small point was that we were going to a concert and the service was quite slow so we ended up a bit rushed.
Delicious food, excellent service, fantastic decor in a gorgeous building, surprisingly good value for money. We would definitely go again next time we're in that part of London.
Service not as focussed as it should be.waited 45 mins for starter.rock sugar for espresso just totally wrong. a visit a few days before had a rude reception from the front of house blonde.this was not just eastern froideur.more an arrogant lack of grace. food is good as is winelist. Needs a more humane approach in the room.
Excellent ambiance - loved the portraits and old school charm. Food was good but a little underwhelming - expected to see more Polish updated classics on the menu. Would definitely return.
Fabulous food in graceful, friendly surroundings of real quality. Hard to choose what not to have: the baked quince will have to wait for next time.
Great restaurant, lovely service and delicious food. Really wonderful evening at Ognisko
Starters were good - savoury and the right amount. Main courses were disappointing and overall, far too expensive for what we got. Afraid I won't be back.
The setting is really lovely, with high ceiling and nice furniture, but it is also not 'stiff' or too formal. We had drinks in the bar area for a while and then a great dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they let you take your time to enjoy your meal, not trying to rush people out of the door. The room was lively but not too loud so it was a great place to go with friends.
we had a fabulous meal. The staff were wonderful and the food excellent
Lovely restaurant. Attentive and efficient service. Interesting menu with a high standard of cooking. We both enjoyed the quail as a starter and our daughter, aged 11, thought the beetroot soup superior to mine! To follow I had the duck and my husband the slow cooked pork. Both were beautifully prepared and very tasty. The restaurant is clearly very popular and has the genteel feel of a private club about it.
A comfortable, quiet and delightfully old-fashioned restaurant with interesting and delicious food. I look forward to going there again. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
Another excellent meal at Ognisko. I love this restaurant, very elegant relaxed ambience with friendly attentive staff. The food is hearty, very well presented and superb quality. And as for the cocktails..... imaginative list with top ingredients.
Outstanding! Beautiful restaurant, excellent food, fair prices, super nice staff. Near Royal Albert Hall but worth a trip from anywhere in London.
This was an extremely satisfying experience. The staff were very friendly, the surroundings were excellent and the food was exquisite. Having not experienced Polish food before, we will definitely be going back.
A brilliant restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ate and drank- dumplings with chestnut and mushrooms were a particular highlight. The environment is very beautiful- so light and classic, high ceilings, white table cloths, gleaming glass wear.
Lovely setting and. attentive service. Food is lovely - interesting flavours and good choice. Had starter size for main and still felt full! Will definitely visit again .
Excellent service , distinctive menu ,very good food and lovely atmosphere
A great restaurant and warm welcome. Service perfect and the food was amazing. We have never tried a Polish cuisine before, but I would not have thought it gets any better than Ognisko. Will definitely be coming back again. This get again proves what a wonderful city London is. Traditional authentic food at the highest level from so many different countries around the world, all within zone 1 of the tube network.
Good quality, nice ambiance, nice staff, and reasonably priced. Very good experience. They were also able to accommodate my request for a speedy meal. All in the party were pleased.
Somewhere a bit different, Great service from Marta, knowledgeable, helpful and just a warm friendly person. Surroundings superb and food excellent. Great place for a pre RAH meal, may try some of the vodkas next time Thank You Ognisko.
Superb food and service. Ordered from the pre-theatre menu which was very good value. This restaurant is a real find and an excellent place to eat if you are visiting the Albert Hall. Loved the flavoured vodka.
