We love Ognisko! It is our New Favourite Restaurant in London - elegant yet relaxed, first rate service and food and with an interesting history.
That a very nice restaurant in heart of Kensington. Easy transport links. Wonderful food, very well presented and served. highly recommend for special occasions and parties.
Average food. Poor menu with a few options only. VERY expensive for what it is. Not the best polish food either but always friendly service
A fantastic meal with excellent service and great food and innovative cocktails. A hidden gem which always delivers on every level. I would highly recommend
Good quality traditional Polish dishes with a bit of a lighter twist.
A family lunch at Ogniske was great. The food was delicious and the service efficient. I had herring blinis and pork schnitzel both of which were well prepared and beautifully served. The rest of the party had a selection form the fixed price lunch which they all agreed was delicious and represented great value.
Good food and service. The staff were welcoming and friendly when we arrived. Try one of the vodka cocktails they are very good. Food was tasty and well presented. This restaurant never disappoints.
Excellent warm ambience, good attentive service and delicious food. A chance to sample Polish cuisine in manageable quantities and a great selection of cocktails and vodkas.
We had a pleasant evening at Ognisko, the food was quite rich and very tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful, and though the restaurant was very busy we enjoyed our visit greatly.
Went for my partner's 30th here, we'd never had Polish food before and what a treat it was. We had herring bilinis and mushroom dumplings to start then the pork schnitzel and rabbit leg for mains. Service was great and the food was fantastic.
Absolutely love the food in this restaurant - top class - but don't quite understand why 15 minutes are needed to bring a drink like water.
Excellent food and atmosphere. We only ordered a a main course and there was a bit of a delay but the manageress dealt with it really well. We didn't need to complain but she apologised anyway and gave us some complimentary shots of plum vodka (very festive!). All the staff were friendly and very professional. A very well organised pre theatre 'dining experience'
We had a very pleasant evening at Ognisco. The food was very nice and the service was good. The atmosphere was just right, nice and buzzy but easy to hear each other!
A lovely Restaurant, first time. Fabulous cocktail, Wine. Perogis yummy, all was lovely apart from the Salted Beef which was a bit tough! However, overall, a very enjoyable evening!
This was my second visit to the restaurant in a matter of weeks. The first occasion was a treat in terms of location and service but less enthused by my main course of escalope of pork. Yesterday I had a reverse experience in that the cheese and potato pierogi were excellent but waiting staff were not! Even though I asked for one of my side dishes when we received our food, I was given an appetiser instead. No water came to the table and we were then charged for the side dish and an earl grey tea, neither of which we had. The items were politely removed from our bill and we chose on this occasion not to pay the discretionary service charge. Would definitely go again but always check your bill!
The restaurant is very attractive and the terrace a real bonus in warm weather, The waitress who served us was friendly and helpful and the food very good. Altogether a very pleasant experience
A lovely summer's day perfectly complemented by friendly staff and an interesting menu served on the terrace. It is a gem of a place and I will go again.
Ognisko is one of my favourite restaurants. We had cocktails to start (The Old Cuban was superb), a lovely bottle of wine and we shared various starters. Main courses were as terrific as the first course. We had the pork schnitzel and the chicken. Somehow we had room for dessert - the pavlova was light and creamy.
Once again an outstanding dinner in one of the best kept secrets in London. A short walk from the Royal Albert Hall and the perfect place to relax for cocktails or a full out Polish dinner. 5 stars!
Wonderful food, great drinks and very happy service staff makes for great atmosphere. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Can't wait to go back there again. We were a party of four.
Very good Eastern European/Polish food. Well-prepared and presented. Excellent service. Nicely appointed dining room. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique restaurant in London.
Very convenient for the Albert Hall with a Proms Menu pre concert... checked we were going there when we arrived and made sure we were in time. My daughter liked the alcoholic slush puppy!
A secret hideaway close to South Kensington that never disappoints. Great service, fabulous food, innovative cocktails and very helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend for a great night out.
Ognisko delivered a wonderful experience for me and my guests on Friday night. The service was attentive, food very tasty and there was an impressive selection of vodkas served in an elegant way with frozen shot glasses. We only ordered a choice of starters as portions are generous and my guests wanted to try different Polish food. One of my favorite restaurants!
The food was lovely, served by very attentive, but low profile waiting staff. Great gin and tonic, as well as mulled wine. Thanks for a very enjoyable experience.
Excellent food, service, and ambience !! Would definitely visit again, and don't hesitate to recommend it. Excellent value for money. Interesting choices. Even the sceptics in our group were impressed with Polish cuisine !
We had a very pleasant evening at Ognisko last night. One very minor quibble: we ordered a bottle of red wine and one of white. While we were busy chatting everyone was poured a glass of the white, whereas it might have been better to ask each person which they preferred. This was not a big problem and may have been due to a misunderstanding. The food was great.
Lovely service and food as usual. A long lunch with a long lost friend and we were not rushed! So rare at this day and age.
I have been to Ognisko's many times over the years and, since its refurbishment, find the atmosphere to be delightful. The food is imaginative, full of flavour, and attractively presented, of course with a Polish influence, service helpful and cheerful, and the staff try to make sure that time constraints - such as getting to an event at the Albert Hall - are honoured.
Great food , too much beetroot , nice service , good selection of wine , nice atmosphere, amazing cocktails ,good localisation, very good of taste of Poland
Quality of the food is excellent and service is very good. Atmosphere and appearance are of high standard. Can be a bit noisy at peak times.
Great service, very attentive. We were celebrating our first anniversary. We had our wedding in Ognisko and the staff remembered who we were and gave us complimentary lemon vodka! The building is beautiful and the food is just superb. We will be back!
Great Polish food and excellent service. Loved their cocktails. Great location and beautifully appointed restaurant. In good weather the terrace is great. The prices are reasonable.
Delightful menu and excellent standard. Staff and ambiance provide a most enjoyable dining experience. A wonderful venue close to the Albert Hall. We sat on the terrace overlooking the gardens - highly recommended.
Lovely food. We had the set lunch and the fish was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the wine and bread which was different. We would recommend this restaurant as unusual and very good.
It was a nice day so we sat on the marquee covered terrace. Service was very smooth and efficient (and pleasant) despite the pre-Proms crowd. We both ate from the pre-theatre menu and our food was excellent and pretty good value for the calibre of food and location. A good choice away from the S Ken scrum.
As ever, the food, service and ambience were excellent. Staff are friendly, efficient and patient. Three of us made it to the Proms on time and the remaining four lingered over drinks. A lovely evening.
We never actually got to experience the resultant as we booked for Sunday evening at 21:15 which was the last booking but when we arrived we were told that they were going to close at 22:30. We decided that this not not sufficient time to enjoy our meal. Of course we were disappointed but what really did anoy us was that there was little empathy shown by the lady that greeted us even though we explained that we did not consider an hour sufficient time for a three course meal.
Fabulous place. Cannot praise it enough, have become a regular diner. Staff friendly and efficient, setting calm and classy and food delicious. 5* oasis of loveliness!
The place is great and offers a really pleasant vibe. However, the quality of food is not amazing. I am Polish and wanted to impress my English friend with our traditional cuisine. We had few starters which were really delicious and a duck for the main. Unfortunately the meat wasn't very good. Luckily a bit of vodka and some very nice wine helped to make the experience positive.
