Lovely little pub great layout of tables to create a lovely atmosphere and not be crowded. Staff very welcoming and friendly . Food spot on couldn’t ask for more.

The steak really did melt in the mouth. The mushrooms were nice. Not overdone and we’re still firm. Not too much garlic that overpowered everything else. The onion rings were a bit on the ‘ all batter no onion side’ but were still very edible and had a good crunch.

Delicious juicy burgers. Hubby enjoyed his fishy 'Cod father' & I opted for a build my own beef, mozzarella, red onion chutney & bacon yummmm both served with fries & salad. Great as always x

Cold restaurant, we were a table of 2 by the back door and gents toilets. Very cold and smelt of drains. Food was nice but seating area let it down.

Staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, food was great, the only issue was the restaurant was so cold had no heating on , as soon as we finished our food we left , I did mention it to a member of staff and they said it’s not usually like this , but apart from that all good.

Staff were most attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, albeit, I’m a small eater and would prefer a 5oz option.

Enjoyed going out although: Given a saucer and no cutlery for the starter, had to ask for a plate, server gave some sort of excuse Steak was ok, although oven fries were served which compared to other restaurants locally, is poor Tiramisu terrible for £9, sponge fingers soaked in coffee and cream. Sent back. Shame, won’t be returning

Food was excellent, it was very busy and we asked for water twice and ended up going to bar to get it but understanbly the waiters were rushed off their feet.

Last minute outbreak of flu meant our party was reduced from 6 to 2 with no warning but we were accommodated with understanding and just as welcoming as usual.

The food was amazing but we had to wait 20 mins just for our drinks. Then a further half hour for food. We understand it may have been busy but when u book an every time is available u expect to get served within that time. But compliments to the chef the steak were cooked to perfection.

One steak was over cooked, the other was undercooked by a lot). Ordered a cocktail and had to wait 45 mins for it!! Lots of complaints about the food tonight. Much prefer the Worcester ounce

Went as a Christmas treat from my son. A couple of hours of quality time catching up away from things or so we thought. Steak and fries were excellent especially on £1 a ounce deal. Had extra of peppercorn sauce and savoy cabbage with bacon. Both delicious. Wine & beer great too! Table was v tight on wall for my son. Good thing he was skinny as people walking past all the time. Staff/men’s loo! After 1hr and 25 mins we’re asked to leave as needed our table. V disappointed with that as felt like we had served our purpose with them and needed to go. The young waiter was kind and apologetic but that did take the edge off a special evening that we don’t get chance to do.

As always the food was amazing, however the service was a bit hit and miss. We arrived at lunch time on NYE, it was busy but we stood at the bar and no one behind the bar acknowledged us. Someone from behind us who was tending tables said she would be with us shortly. When she was free she checked our reservation and said the table would be ready shortly- we were about 10 mins early. She then went off and tended to tables. We stood at the bar for a while- hoping to get a drink- then when the couple behind us were called to their table we then moved to the window 'waiting area'. At no time did anyone offer us to open our tab and to order a drink! After a few more minutes we were shown our table- still no drink order taken. Finally after about 30 minutes of being in the pub we were asked if we wanted a drink. It was disappointing they only had diet coke on tap- eww! The malbec was delicious. The food as always was exceptional and we had a great lunch and will will go back, but the service out front was not to the standard we would expect.
