Ounce At Bishampton

Great place for steak dates. The meat is fantastic. Would recommend

I don’t really know why I leave reviews about the ounce bar at Bishampton as the food is always just the best ever and the staff are fabulous. I’m glad I live 15 miles away as otherwise I’d be in there most nights

Servers were great but the wait for food at least 45 minutes wasn’t the best. Then the food came out the steak was cooked incorrectly far too rare on both choices, the fries were very crispy as in your fork wouldn’t even go into them and the mushrooms were cold even the butter didn’t melt. We have been here about 5 times and this is the worst meal.

Food was ok but lots of flies and the staff member decided to spray half a can of fly spray whilst we were eating. The main server came over to us and he was covered in sweat, I know it was a. Hot day but take another shirt not the best hygiene. Worcester ounce is way much better and cleaner.

Few things i'm afraid: - Sides arrived 5 mins after the steak - Advised the Chipotle in the croquette side was a sauce. Was in fact in the food...not a chilli fan! - Got the wrong bill - Steak was verging on cold - Sauces were average On the plus side, steak tasted fantastic, and the £1 an ounce was a good offer. Just let down by other aspects.

We use Ounce regularly but something has changed! I have been out of action for a month so was surprised how different it was to our last visit! Food was cold as was the plater it was on (recooked but took some time) atmosphere was subdued, very different to normal? We are hoping normality returns soon as we love this restaurant....

Totally disorganised, sorry to say the waiting staff didn’t have a clue to the point where we had to ask for cutlery to eat our sloppily presented lunch. We are very regular patrons but shocked at today’s overall performance

Lovely Sunday lunch. Beef was extremely tender. Needs more choice of puds though. Would definitely recommend.

My partners steak was a little overdone however he said it was still nice but in general still lovely food, great service and good drinks

Not our best visit here however the food was still good and the staff were wonderful as always.

Went with a friend who had not been before and they were impressed. Steak as always was melt in the mouth. The fries were nice and hit and the waiting staff were efficient and friendly. We will be back without a doubt. Thank you Ounce. 👍🏻

As you are asking I will tell you my true feeling, the steak was beautiful, but felt the plate needed onion rings and maybe tomatoes, as for the sauces, as a dialysis patient I cannot tolerate these because of the salt, spice's. After explaining this to the waitress I asked if she could do garlic butter, she aid yes it would have to vharg me £5+50 outrageous, so I refused. At the initial contact with the waitress I explained about my condition and mentioned that I cannot tolerate salt or spices, so we agreed that my steak would be plainly cooked, I ordered a side of mushrooms which came covered in what can only be described as salt and a lot of spices which affected me later on in the evening. If you were to ask me if I would return, sorry to say that because of the charges for the extras, then the answer would be no, for me personally first visit was not a pleasant one. Brian

Absolutely brilliant, it is cheap on a Tuesday with the Steak offer, but cannot fault the food, and very nice staff. Try to go once a month for a treat. Best value for money meal i've had.

Great steak but was disappointed that the salad garnish is no longer included on pound an ounce night.

Had a great meal, cauliflower cheese side is normally our favourite but it had an odd taste this time. Sure it’s just a blip.

We weren’t seated until 20 minutes after the time that we had booked a table for, then when we were shown to our seats we weren’t given menus or asked if we wanted a drink for another 10 minutes. I ordered a glass of small red wine (it said on the bottom of the menu that the restaurant offered 125ml size), and when it was brought over, it looked the same size as my partners who had ordered a medium, I checked with the waiter that it was definitely a small as I was driving and he confirmed that it was. However, when we got our bill we had been charged for a medium, we queried this and they said it was because they only served wine as a medium or large - I pointed out that at the bottom of their menu it says 125ml are available. Overall, it was average food but terrible service which was really disappointing as it was for my partners birthday.

Requested and booked corner table supposed to be quiet. Unable to have conversation with old friends from Cornwall so left early without desserts or coffees. Terrible noise from table of 6 next to us. Will think very hard whether to return which is sad as previous experiences as regular have been very good.

Really enjoy it here, food good although no pints due to issue on pumps - service was ok although a few hiccups with new staff so a little different, but they were all polite & friendly. :)

Great to see Brad and the team again. Food is always superb. Recommend the cauliflower cheese and the butchers jus. Overall an exceptional experience. One of my favourite eateries.

Really lovely lunch at Ounce . We went to Once Worcester not Bishampton for a change and it was just as good. Excellent value for money and lovely service. We will definitely return. I highly recommend this restaurant. £1 an ounce on a Tuesday or Wednesday too!

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, the beef was absolutely fantastic!

The food and service excellent. Unfortunately, we asked to be moved because a (gentleman) sitting on another table was sharing a WhatsApp phone call (on speaker) with the whole of the room. He was still on it when we left the room (10 mins after we left) to be reseated in another area. I understand that this is not the restaurant’s fault but it does detrimentally affect the dining experience.

The Sunday dinner was amazing and is a good price. Service was very good too. We will definitely be back regularly.

As always a fantastic meal at Ounce Bishampton. We've never had a bad one. We went mid afternoon so obviously there wasn't the same atmosphere you'd get in an evening but the food was as good as ever and the staff friendly

Amazing as always. Steaks are always so delicious, good quality. Parmesan salad is lovely. My son says the Beef Mac and cheese is excellent.
