We often dine here and once again Kate and here team were fantastic. And obviously the food ……… Best around

Steak was very nice again , pudding was also nice , only negative was they don’t put any salad on with the main anymore . Looking forward to going again

Arrived at Ounce at peak time and restaurant was extremely busy so we had a short wait for our table ,so we were asked to wait at table outside , which was fine . Once seated , the staff were very efficient and food and drink soon arrived. It was fantastic! We really enjoyed our meals and it made for a great night THANK YOU TO ALL !

Just east great all round compared to past visit which was a shame

Lovely evening. As usual had the butchers cut and it was superb. Shame you no longer get a little side salad but the quality of the rump is superb. Will be back at some point to check their new rotisserie chicken.

Steak and chips were very good ,excellent butchers cut piece of meat . Wine nice ,service good . They use to give you a mushroom ,tomato and a bit of salad with cheese on but nothing now . Ordered extra tender stem ok but not much veg choice .

Yes, another great experience also great food. Having been lucky to have receive a nice voucher for my birthday I went full on: 20oz steak, side salad, mushrooms and butcher jus. All accompanied by a small glass of Chilean Merlot. Rare steak. Cooked to perfection. Great service. No room for pudding. Thank you Ounce. Perfect again

I feel that Ounce could be becoming a victim of its own success sadly. Last night was the first time I’ve found it to be overly busy, staff not coping with the amount of people and bookings, people waiting, glasses piled up at the bar, not bringing drinks ordered etc. we waited at the bar 20 minutes on arrival to tell anyone we had arrived for our booking. We had to ask numerous to get drinks which didn’t come until nearly finished meal. On the plus side, the steak was great, as always

Food was good - but they now give less with the normal Steak deal - just steak and chips, no salad/tomato/mushrooms like they used to. Real problem was the service - Took 20 minutes to be given menus and that server had no interest in taking a drinks order. Had to go to the bar to order and that took another 10mins for them to bring drinks to the table. One meal didn't come with the sauce so had to wait 10mins for that to come. Each drinks order was hard to place and took long to receive. When we went to the bar to ask a 2nd time for a glass of wine we had ordered, they brought it over and practically slammed it on the table. If one of us managed to grab their attention to order a drink, they didn't ask the rest of the table for anything, I had to shout to get their attention to add another to the order. No one came to check if everything was ok with the food. Obviously too busy, too rushed and too stressed which made staff members come across as rude. A real shame. We have always loved and raved about Ounce. We booked this table 2 months ago and we were looking forward to the meal. I wouldn't rush back again anytime soon.

Excellent service, food was delicious very nicely cooked and seasoned.

The food was fabulous as always we are regular customers but we’re a little disappointed not once did anyone ask if the food was ok or ask if we wanted any more drinks and we were not offered any deserts. But once again the food was excellent.
