Minestrone lacked ingredients (courgette and carrot but no other visible veg) but was tasty. Pizza vegetariana was very tasty as was the dessert. Quiet place as not many customers which made it easy to talk to my lunch partner.

Such a lovely Italian gem! As soon as I entered Pappa Roma I was welcomed by the waiters. They quickly got my order - which I appreciated as I was in a rush, and the service was brilliant - plus the food arrived super quickly, straight from the pan the way it was hot. I thoroughly enjoyed my pasta putanesca and I'll defo order it again if I'm around! The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and cute, with lot of tile detail everywhere, tables, the walls, and nice artwork and maps of Italy dotted the wall. Very lovely place with really good prices. 10/10 would recommend!

Lovely food. Lovely staff. The menu isn't massive and, to me, that's a sign the food will be good!! Been there before and I have a feeling the family will ve regulars

Simply furnished venue with tasty, authentic Italian menu. Good service and didn't feel rushed. Not too expensive for casual night out. Thank you!

Really homely Italian restaurant with great food and large portions. Only downside was the lack of heating so we were freezing!

I used to go to this place a lot, but today has been a massive disappointment. Reheated good, nothing really seemed freshly cooked, bathroom was awful. Definitely needs a full refurb and a much better cook. Will never go back.

Super quick service - perfect if you're in the area and need a quick bite to eat before Royal Albert Hall. Chocolate fudge cake is a bit dry and dense, but the beef ragu, pizza and the starters we had were AMAZING. Definitely recommend for authentic italian food.

We were seated right away, and service was very quick. The food was tasty, and while it was expensive (as London is), it wasn’t as pricey as some other nearby places

I have never had a pizza like it. It was literally piled high with ham & mushrooms, with the thinnest pizza crust ever, so that I basically was eating ham & mushrooms - which was not what I ordered, or wanted. Very bland, even the (not so hot) chilli oil, couldn’t save it. Definitely won’t be a repeat visit, sadly.

We often eat at Papa Roma before a show at the Royal Albert Halll. It’s a lovely cosy restaurant tucked away a short walk from South Kensington tube and the food is great.

We’ve visited this restaurant several times over the years but were rather disappointed this last time. They’ve taken their delicious seafood pasta off the menu. Instead I had ravioli stuffed with sea bass which was quite nice but the lovely tomato, caper and olive sauce completely overpowered the fish. My wife opted for lasagne with was really quite bland: no real cheese flavour and a ragu lacking in richness. The service was perfunctory and they really weren’t busy. In fact we were the only customers until a couple of mothers arrived with their children a bit later. The other waiter, who brought our bill, was chatty and much friendlier.

Restaurant is close to South Kensington station and 15mins walk from Royal Albert Hall. Staff are friendly and the restaurant has a nice cosy, on-holiday vibe that makes you forget you’re 100 yards from a very busy road! We both had pizzas and they were freshly made and delicious. As to be expected in that area, the bill for two pizzas and two soft drinks was almost £50 (including tip).
