Great service. Amazing pizza. Lovely pasta. Would definitely recommend. Just off the beaten track near South Kensington tube station away from the crowds. Sure we'll go again when we're in the area.

Excellent food and friendly service. Decor was on the drab side, chocolate and cream colours reminded me of my bedroom in the 70s! Music not to our taste but we had a nice chat about it and encouraged them to play Italian opera! (Yes, I know, that's not to everyone's taste either!). But the best thing about it is that it's authentically Italian with lovely Italian ingredients. Will definitely recommend.

We always enjoy the food at Pappa Roma, however, on this occasion the service was very poor. It seems as the main patron was not in the restaurant the team in charge had made plans for the evening and wanted guests to leave as soon as possible. Although we had a table booking for 21:30 we still expected to be able to enjoy our meal without being rushed by the waitress. We had barely finished our mains when we were asked whether we wanted any desserts whilst at the same time being told that they wanted to close the restaurant so we'd better be quick! Really disappointing, particularly as it took the same waitress 10 minutes to bring us the menu in the first place when we arrived (and no, the restaurant was not busy but she was chatting to her friends...). So next time we will make sure the main patron is there as he is an excellent host!

A pleasant post concert venue with good food and a decent wine list. The atmosphere of a traditional trattoria good service and away from the usual mayhem of South Kensington

We visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration prior to attending a promenade concert at the Royal Albert Hall. The food was excellent, the staff very efficient and friendly, and we had the perfect dinner experience. The ambiance in the restaurant is that of a restaurant in provincial Italy - first class.

We used Papparoma thrice during our London holiday. It is staffed by Italians and we had a good experience. Situated on a quiet side street across from South Kensington tube.

The waitress was new and did not really perform - however the rest of the crew did an excellent rescue operation, the manager did not charge for deserts, coffee and avecs as an apology. The price / quality ratio of food was excellent. We had a great dinner!

Excellent service, lovely food. This restaurant is very reasonably priced for the area. It was very good for children too, perfect for lunch before going to the natural history museum. The waitress was helpful with recommending a dish for my brother in law, and my sister really enjoyed it for her birthday meal. Thank you so much!

Lovely. We knew this as Da Spago but had not been for 18 months or so because out of area for while. Seems to have changed hands in interim. But food same, we were told same chef. Same decor. Same cheerful and pleasant service. So we were happy!

The veal shank special was almost entirely made up of bone. I literally got 5 bites of meat off it. To their credit Restaurant took 50% off at my request - However, I would have preferred a complete meal

Not so busy, unlike some of the restaurants in the South Ken High Street where you have to queue up. Friendly staff, excellent pizzas. A hidden find. Worth another visit.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Really felt we could be in Italy, that is, until the risotto arrived. It was completely overcooked into a mush, however, once we pointed this out to the Italian manager he apologised and immediately re-ordered it for us. He soon returned to the table, having tasted the risotto himself and agreed it was terribly over-cooked and apologised profusely. It seemed as an Italian he was almost ashamed his kitchen had served such a bad risotto. A new freshly cooked risotto arrived which was outstanding. Any kitchen can make a mistake and I was impressed at how well the manager dealt with the situation. All of our remaining food was flawless. I wouldn't hesitate returning to Pappa Roma.
