The food was delicious and the restaurant was lovely but the heating was on very high, which ruined the experience slightly.

Mediocre food (great entrees, disappointing mains), not as good as other branches, hotel like atmosphere (not in a good way), over priced and to top it off unbearably hot even though it was a cool day - they had fans going which only somewhat helped. Not great overall.

Excellent authentic Thai food, attentive, friendly and prompt service - but expensive. 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 veg, 1 rice, bottle of wine, £120 Would go again, but not every week.

Lovely ambience, attentive staff, and great food choices and presentation.... each dish provided a unique explosion of flavors in the mouth. I loved it... can't wait to go back!

We were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The quality of food and drink was well below the standard of other established Patara branches where we'd ordered the same menu items before. My cocktail tasted like orange squash, and I had to send back. The complimentary snacks were a stingy 2 prawn crackers per person on our table, not the usual full up basket. Our meals were tasteless, and although the restaurant looked good and the staff were very nice, it was unbearably hot on a warm summers evening without proper air conditioning so it was a race to finish and leave as soon as possible. We won't be going back which is a great shame as we had high hopes of a nice night out.

Whilst I can't fault the staff, service or atmosphere the food was a disappointment this time. Both my husband and I felt extremely sick after eating at Patara with stomach aches and general food poisoning type of symptoms. I would also like to say that there is very little choice for vegetarians and the restaurant really is missing a trick here. All in all, this is a novelty of a restaurant where I would eat once but I doubt I will be visiting again. I would like to say that the staff are extremely polite and helpful.

Consistently good - Patara is a hidden gem just off Oxford Street and the perfect place for a sophisticated lunch stop between shopping or on an evening out. The Beef Cheek Penang melts in your mouth and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Very nice food but as is common with Thai restaurants in London, they'd dumbed it down somewhat and gone very easy with the chilis. Definitely worth a try.

Might seem a little pricey but the good and service were both outstanding! Would definitely recommend to Thai food fans and food lovers in general. Also, try their cocktails!

Nice service team. Portionst (too) big. However, the food had not the quality I would expect for that price and lacked freshness. Will not go there again.

Excellent food - the pre-theatre menu is very good value. Service a little slow but overall a good experience. A bit of an oasis in the somewhat culinary desert north of that particular part of Oxford Street.

We had great food and service without the hustle of their original restaurant. quality was good. a table with uncontrolled kids was the only downside - but once they left - all was good.

£42 for a curry, with sparkling water to drink!! They charged £4.50 for barely edible rice, and £9 for a side of broccoli! Absolute joke. Waiter tried hard but, really, too hard. Will not be back.

The service in Patara on Berners Street was really exceptional - diligent, helpful and conscientious. The food was exquisite; tenderstem broccoli cooked perfectly and the panang tofu was extremely tasty. Very nice interior and overall atmosphere. It is reasonably expensive but, given the exceptional standards, worth the price.

During our dinner, a mouse ran across the floor and under our banquette. They moved us to a different table but did not seemed to be phased by it, nor did they offer us any accommodation. The food however is and always has been quite good. I might stick with my usual location however and return to Greek Street.

Service was poor; food was average; the place was noisy; the waiters were pushy...asking us all the time if we wanted anything else in a very unfriendly way; the main courses are totally overpriced; won't be going back

There was fantastic service. Food for 3 people came to £160 with service which felt very steep but regardless food was amazing and staff ensured we enjoyed it.

I have always enjoyed dining at Patara however my most recent experience at Patara Berners Street was average. The service was not at a level you would expect from this type of restaurant. It took at least 15 mins before we were offered to order our drinks. Prawn crackers were only served once you had ordered your main meal where as I am used to these being served as soon as you are seated. The food was satisfactory but their customer service could do with a lot of improvement. I did not feel like I was at a high end Thai restaurant at all-it was all very mediocre. We had booked the restaurant on a 50% off main and starter when you order 2 mains and 2 starters. When the bill came this wasn't taken into account and I had to inform the waitress. Although the bill was changed without any fuss this is not what is expected of this type of restaurant. With the food being so expensive and there being a 12.5 % service charge I expected a much better experience. With regret I will not be dining at the Berners Street Patara again and would prefer to eat at the Soho/Oxford street restaurant.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Patara. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was excellent. There wasn't a thing about the meal we didn't enjoy - even had fabulous cocktails! We'll be coming back next time we're in London!

Found service to be poor compared to usual. Weren't not told about Lobster not being on promotion and on querying this, it felt like I was being shouted at. Food was otherwise consistent.

We were served RAW chicken for our starter (satay chicken). When the manager came to our table, he said he would call the ambulance should we fall sick. How reassuring! Crazy!

Food is good, but service was terrible. Starters arrived after the main courses and rice that was a side after all the other plates. Service is not according at all with the price of the restaurant.
