Great location! The staff were friendly. However the food was the highlight! Every dish had the most amazing flavours. Number 1 dish goes to the lamb massaman curry, best one I've ever had!
Excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent service. Transported us back to our honeymoon in Thailand last year. The portions were a good size, would definitely recommend.
Excellent food as always even after the recent menu changes, although service was good can do with more attentive waiting staff e.g wine, water top ups etc.
Lovely food and restaurant. Great birthday surprise from the staff at Patara. Thank you . . . . . . . . . . .
Lovely staff, and awesome food... Wish the service was a bit better timed though. We had to wait a while before the first order, but once that was done, it was an amazing evening.
Always excellent. Every dish is superb and flavorful. Service is always wonderful as well. Recommended dishes are coconut beef, shrimp in chili sauce and Chinese spinach.
Very good service and great food! Especially, I really enjoyed the variety starter platter menu and lobster Pad Thai. I will definitely recommend this restaurant.
Very good food and an excellent service. The menu is large with some signature dishes. The glazed chicken dumplings are just divine - great place to go to.
Greeted well, staff were excellent, food was up there with the best Thai food in the UK. Still my favourite restaurant in London. If you like Tha Food, you'll love Patara.
The starter and main course we're lukewarm. Disappointed as I had heard good things about this place. The ambience was nice however. I wouldn't return as there are much nicer Thai places in London.
I had a great experience with my family dining here. Food is lovely and service is attentive. Coconut braised beef and Pad Thai are strongly recommended.
Poor service with a lack of English and knowledge of the wines on offer. Was told to wait numerous times for someone with a 'knowledge' of the wines. Food was okay and wasn't asked if we were happy with our dishes and if we required any more drinks (which we did).
Lovely restaurant, However, waited 25 mins to order drinks, eventually I got up went tongue bar myself. This was at 7.00, not busy, bar staff chatting at the bar. They brought the drinks over. Guys, when a customer orders a gin & tonic yes pour the gun, yes a slice of Lime, but NO.. Do not pour the tonic, that's for the customer. You drowned the gin with flat tonic, not enough ice, drink ruined. Food was good, sadly physically not hot enough. Like the venue, would go one more time but it's all about the service & you lacked in that department.
This place does a lovely twist on Thai food - a combination of traditional and fusion dishes. Great decor too.
The tofu options here are exquisite, deliciously flavoured and the perfect texture. Awesome dining experience, couldn't recommend more.
The restaurant itself is lovely and the food is exquisite. However, we ordered at around 9pm, starters, drinks and mains for a group of 5. Drinks arrived promptly, starter arrived about 30mins later with only half of what we had ordered, after a further 20mins of waiting and us calling the waiter who insisted the food was being cooked did he then realise he hadn't put the order for the other half of the starters through. Another 20mins went by and the starters came. Delicious as expected. We ordered another round of drinks after and waited. At around 10:20 we enquired about our mains, again waiter explained that the food was on its way. 10:50 and still nothing, baring in mind half the restaurant was empty, again waiter insists the food was being cooked and would arrive promptly. 11:15 and the waiter explains that yet again the order was not passed on to the kitchen. Food arrived around 15-20mins later and was delicious. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine as an apology, however the second we finished our main course we were hurried out which meant we couldn't enjoy the bottle of wine and left half of it. I have heard excellent reviews about this chain, however I was really not impressed with the service and could not understand why the waiter did not check to see what was going on with our food in the kitchen instead of simply insisting it was on its way after making us wait for so long. For the price the food is worth it and there is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. I don't know if it was just our bad luck but I won't be returning for a while.
We had a very beautiful evening. The restaurant is very pretty and elegant. Staff was very polite and smiling. The food was delicious!!!! We were very happy with overall experience. Thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here whilst lunching at Patara. Friendly staff and great food. Slightly expensive but I would go again. I visited the Soho location.
really nice restaurant, one of the best thai food places I have been to in a long time! Attentive staff, nice atmosphere and good quality food.
Exclusively the best Thai food in Europe I recommend to any one who loves Thai food more than one location in London enjoy it thanks
I love Thai food and Patara is not bad for food. The service is very slow though. I waited for over 10min and no one came to ask me if I need any drink so I have to ask for it. The food is okay but the dessert, the chocolate pudding in Patara banquet menu is quite disappointing.
Great experience, no problems at all with the booking. The meal was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating when told that one of the guests was gluten-intolerant. Best Thai restaurant in London without a doubt.
Excellent food. Perfect balance off Thai flavors. I am normally not a fan of fine Asian cuisine as when in Asia I always opt for eating street food however, Patara Soho is very authentic.
Lovely food, good atmosphere and really pleasant service. Would highly recommend the place to anybody looking for a nice meal in central London. Definitely worth the price!
Great food - cannot fault it at all - possibly one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Service was ok. Could have been more attentive - didn't clear dishes/take payment for what seemed like forever.
Great tasty and fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. Relaxing environment and friendly, responsive staff providing a great service.perfect for a night out and good value for money.
Patara is one of my favourite Thai restaurants, this is the 3rd of the chain I have been to and I really enjoyed the whole dining experience.
Great authentic Thai food, with good fresh herbs and vegetables used. Good service, nice ambience. Would definitely come again. Seems very unassuming from the outside, but it's inside that counts.
I went with a group of six people for my birthday. The menu was diverse and plenty of options for banquet, set menu or your own selection. There was also a very good drinks menu with a wide selection. We were made to feel very welcome but were not overpowered. The food was amazing, very fresh and generous portions, definitely a fine dining experience. The waiting staff found out it was my birthday and brought me a complimentary chocolate dessert with a candle! We were all very impressed with the restaurant, staff and above all food
Three big mistakes made with our orders, similar happened with our previous visit. Food quality good once they get the orders correct. Shame as we really like the place but feel let down with all the errors that were made with our orders. Wrong starter, duck instead of chicken and forgot rice. The staff should repeat everything back to their customers to try and avoid mistakes. Waiter did appear to hear us clearly at the time so we can only assume he keyed in the wrong information onto his iPad.
Nice and busy restaurant, best Thai out of Bankok. With a taste of Europe. Not too cheap. And not too spicy. Liked it very much.
Definitely a bit pricey for what it was, plus the waiters had a habit of taking away plates and glasses before they were completely finished, bizarre!
The food was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't fault the service! We went for the patara banquet, it was all so delicious. Would highly recommend.
Central location. Great food, great atmosphere. Best Thai curry I've had in as long as I can remember. Also good service and value for money.
Service very slow at the start - waited for table for some time and although ordered drinks to keep us going these never arrived. Once I made a complaint and it was clear that I wasn't just a tourist customer things improved greatly but that should be the case. A paying customer is a paying customer!
The restaurant was lovely, as was the food and service. We were seated downstairs which is not as nice as the top floor but it was a Saturday night. There was a large party who were being very loud and raucous which slightly spoiled our evening. However this of course was beyond the control of the restaurant.
Unfortunately they weren't serving the Taste of Patara menu which is what I went for. A shame given that it is listed on their website. They also had run out of crab :-(
The scallops were tasty but the beef curry and sides were lacking in depth of flavour and not what I expected at an expensive restaurant.
We had the patara banquet which was very generous in terms of portions. Lovely food. Service was a bit slow hence the 4 stars. Would recommend
Great food, great service, great atmosphere! We all loved it!
Good food. Perfect service. Pity I cannot wait there every day... Hopefully I ll go back soon. May be in another branch to see if different.
Had a lovely experience here, was expensive. But the service and food was amazing and therefore I had no issues paying for it. I would definitely return here :)
Food was amazing, our table was not the best but still okay.service was good, however we had to wait to be seated for 10min plus they gave us a drink menu in the meantime but never came to take the orther. Other than that all was good.
Great setting, lovely staff, fine food.Went for dinner with my wife for her birthday, the food was lovely and staff offered a surprise by bringing out a free dessert for us.Would go again
Great place , good food , not the best we have eaten but it was fair , to be honest the food was a little over priced for what it was and for the price I'd expect a little better quality of food , the scallop's to me were a little under cooked , and the pak choi a little over cooked
Restaurant were full, but atmosphere and service were quite good. Taste was really superb as always. I'll recommend this restaurant to my friends. Patara Soho is the best among the Patara restaurant chains.
Has long been one of my favourite London restaurants. They are back on top form with a slightly revised menu. Excellent food - the best Thai around. Superb service (albeit slightly heavy handed with the water and wine). Brilliant wine and cocktails list. Ambience just right. Nearly lost a star for telling us they'd closed the kitchen at 1400 - why would a restaurant do this? But overall worthy of the top mark. I'll keep on going if they keep up these standards (and don't close the kitchen too swiftly).
Fantastic as ever. Have been on numerous occasions and the quality is consistently excellent. A really lovely restaurant, attractively decorated in Thai style and beautifully lit. The food is outstanding and the service good.
100% recommended, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out you will be impressed, somethings the price is a little bit too steep but worth it
A fabulous restaurant with lovely food however we waited a long time to order (at 6pm and the restaurant wasn't very full) and when we kept asking to order we were told that her colleague would be along soon. Both with the starter and the main they tried to take away my plate when my friends were still eating. They also tried to take away our second bowl of prawn crackers that we had ordered even though they were half full. Have eaten here a number of times before and will do again but they need to work on these little mistakes.
