The restaurant had a few people in, but we were out if it a little up a corner, but that was ok. Food came quickly and was very nice. Staff weren't particularly attentive and the young lad who collected our plates was verging on rude! Didn't say a word just miserably collected the plates! We weren't asked if we wanted another drink or a dessert and were left sat there for probably 30 minutes after we had finished. Won't be going back

The food was delicious, staff happy and helpful. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

3 out of 4 of our party had the beef stroganoff and the beef was grisly and chewy - no-one came to the table for a while to check how the food was - such a shame as the sauce and rice served with it was good, we did tell them eventually and they brought a free lemoncillo each to the table but it was disappointing - the desserts were good, service was decent too. The other meal, Pollo Funghi was wonderful.

We were very early for our booked table but were welcomed in. The food was perfectly cooked, the staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The atmosphere was amazing, chilled out and buzzing at the same time. I loved it all! Thank you Portofino❤

Service was slow and the food was pretty basic - not bad but also not great.

It smelled a bit musty/damp in the building. Needs updating I would say.

Walking into the restaurant was very warm and welcoming, decor lovely and great atmosphere. We were taken upstairs and it's like we were walking into a different restaurant, horrible lighting, walls bare and painted a dull red colour, felt like I was in a cheap all you can eat restaurant. Food was OK, nothing special and the staff were running around like headless chickens and it wasn't even that busy. Will definitely be going to La Bella Napoli next time we fancy Italian.

Food was fantastic staff very friendly in fact the service was excellent, was my daughter’s birthday she requested we went there used to take her when she was younger in fact I had gone there for decades but a couple of years ago stopped because food and service was awful, but very happy it’s back to it’s old self excellent again.

It was of course very busy as we went pre theatre. Staff were great as always. Service ok given how busy they were. Wine was excellent. The reason for our mediocre rating is that the sirloin steak was well below average, very fatty (both of us had to cut off a good third due to it being inedible)and not value for money. A shame. Usually everything is very good.

Came for our anniversary, my husband has been before, i hadn't. I can honestly say, it was some of the most amazing food I've had. Cant wait to come back again

Lovely meal before the Theatre. The downstairs of the restaurant looked particularly lovely so we were little disappointed to be sat upstairs right at the top of the stairs where there was less ambiance. Food was great and staff were friendly

Great family friendly restaurant. The staff were really welcoming and the food was lovely. There was a set price 2 course lunch menu which was good value. Would definitely recommend, the restaurant is a few minutes walk from the Regent Theatre which was perfect.

Lovely venue always love to see the kitchen...we had the pre theatre menu which was served promptly leaving us plenty of time to get the theatre....let down by steak being over cooked and no check back as would have sent both back
