Beautiful food in a beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent.

Excellent restaurant the food was absolutely delicious, piping hot, easily one of the best Italian restaurants for miles. Service was excellent, staff and owner very attentive to their customers to ensure you aren’t waiting around for table service. Very very quickly served food, it was outstanding and high quality. Came for an evening meal with a last minute reservation.

Needed a place to eat before a concert at The Victoria Hall. Searched online and this app appeared. Wasn’t sure of where to eat and Portofino popped up. Visited for the first time. Was very impressed! The restaurant from the outside you could arguably say it isn’t as attractive as the inside but don’t let this affect your decision to eat here. It is literally a two minute walk from The Victoria Hall so VERY convenient for theatre visits. Opens at 17:30 but was open to customers before this time so no need to wait outside. The food was so tasty and fresh. It came fast with attentive service and a great environment, even lighting the candle at the table as soon as sat down. Warm, nicely presented and almost cosy interior. Sat in a booth which could be more intimate and comfortable than a table mid-floor. Would certainly recommend this place and should I visit Stoke in the future, will definitely eat here again! Thanks for a great meal to start what was a great evening!

OK food at a reasonable price - from lunchtime menu. Lacked any real subtlety or novelty in regard to flavours but very good value for money.

On entering the downstairs was completely under renovation - and the bar not properly open - food was ok - service good but not as previous - has it been taken over?

The restaurant smelled of open drains ,we realised it was coming from upstairs,, There Pepsi and lemonade was flat and the food was average at best won’t be going back

The food was excellent, service was great. My only criticism is that the food was served on a wooden paddle, so when you cut into the food you are also cutting into the wood.
