Eating Italian food is always a pleasure, given the shared history and migration between the West of Scotland and Italy, and Qua Italian on Ingram Street in the Merchant City, stands proudly in this tradition. Their menu features a wide range of dishes from the bel paese, particularly from Tuscany and Rome, and often with an authentically Scottish edge. The squid in their calamari is local, their lamb chops are also locally sourced: even the house pate is served on traditional Scottish oatcakes.
Of course, all your Italian favourites are featured on the menu at Qua Italian. Pizzas, pasta, risotto and steaks are all available down on Ingram Street, alongside lesser seen regional dishes such as penne alla paesana, a house-speciality of oven-baked pork, Italian sausage and cinnamon.
