Rancho Fareham

The food was 'OK' nothing out of the ordinary. Ribs where a bit dry and the salad was tiny and drenched in salad dressing so uneatable! It was rib night lots of groups in eating so found the restaurant very noisy. The person who greeted us on arrival was quite abrupt but our waitress was lovely and very attentive. To be honest overall experience means I don't think I will be rushing back.

The staff put a service charge on the bill for 3 people. I don’t mind leaving a tip but I begrudge paying it when it’s imposed.

Table booked for 14, only 12 places made up. Food was delicious but the service was terrible. 1 hour before we had a single drink served! 1.5 hours before the starters were served and then not all at once. Bad attitude from the head waiter after asking to have the service charge removed, accusing us of lying about the 1 hour drink wait. Laughing at us with the other waiter. x4 items added to the bill that we did not order or have, over £20 worth.

Food was lovely, our waiter was good but the owner is very scruffy and not at all welcoming which is a shame as he is front of house but maybe that’s why the restaurant wasn’t very busy

Excellent food and very good service. My party of seven all said they were impressed and will be returning in future. The food was freshly cooked and the chips were hot. Worth the money.

First class restaurant for an amazing steak and quick service

Steaks were good ribs not so good a bit dry and not as tender as I would have liked. Think there were new waiting staff on duty still in need of a bit more training.

Delicious food, big portions, very attentive staff. Overall an excellent restaurant . Only downside is the steaks are a little pricey but as everything was so good, we didn’t mind.

Not happy being charged 10% gratuity, as there were only 4 of us.

The food was excellent the price reasonable but the customer service was appalling they were trying to rush us so they could close(could have told us when we booked’. Ten percent service charge was added to the bill without our prior knowledge or concent. I object to this most strongly and it is also illegal

Poor service spoilt the experience. The server di not listen to what was being ordered and this resulted in one of the steaks being underdone. Once rectified, the food was as good as usual, full of flavour and presented well. Staff training is called for!

The food and service was great. I would have liked to have left a tip of my choice, rather than have a service charge of £8 00 put on my bill.

Fantastic food and staff were very accommodating our 20mth old who was a challenge during our Fathers day meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food but were dismayed at the unwelcoming response of staff - it was noticeable that the staff barely smiled or showed any sign of friendliness. Shame, as it spoilt the atmosphere of an otherwise lovely meal.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely friendly helpful staff - we had a fab evening once again.

The glass of lemonade I ordered was obviously made from syrup and a mixer, it was too syrupy and undrinkable. The sirloin steak I ordered had lots of gristle, so I would dispute you buy the best cuts of meat, the onion rings were over cooked and hard.

Food was good as always. Service nice and quick although funny that it was quicker to get the coctails served than the diet coke.

Wondered how good a chain restaurant on a dying Fareham West Street could be, but was pleasantly surprised. Tasty sirloin, flavoursome fajitas, and a rib and chicken combo the size of a space station. Served by friendly, attentive staff in a classy yet informal setting. Thumbs up from me.

Food good, service can be a bit hit and miss.

Steak was unreal. Ribs were ok. Plenty of food. One of the steaks was under cooked but the staff quickly rectified this and even offered complimentary drinks for the inconvenience. We had two small children with us and appreciated the food being cooked and served so quickly and efficiently.

There used to be olives served before the meal but not any more.I thought it was expensive for what we had.Service was good although our waiter was somewhat preoccupied by his hair every time he passed the mirror near the kitchen.

Good food unlimited ribs, service with the drinks a little slow.

Food was amazing last night, couldn’t fault it. Service a little slow but the amazing food made up for it.

It was not busy when we had our meal and whilst the waiter took our food and drinks orders quickly there seemed to be no care and attention. We had to ask for further drinks by flagging a waitress down and when we requested the desert menu it never materialised. Whilst 2 out of 3 of the groups meals were good, my friends ribs were dry and her steak over done. A shame as this was our first time visiting the restaurant.

Food was lovely, freshly cooked. service let down our overall experience.

Delicious Steak - but with all the extras it works out expensive - and the extras are not necessarily that great - for £70+ I would expect more refined dining. We had a voucher so the pain was not so bad.

Restaurant was a little noisy if you have people within your party with hearing aids! But the food was brilliant with great service
