Amazing food and service and atmosphere! Would go again and again!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend as we were visiting Kew Gardens and it was a 70th birthday present for my friend. The restaurant brought a cake up to her at the end of the meal. Total surprise for my friend.

Incredible food and service! Every dish had a unique flavor and they even took time to infuse our water with a lovely combination of cucumbers, carrots, mint and lemon. What a joy!

The original owner of Rara sold the restaurant. And it shows. No warm friendly welcome as was the norm in the past. Food average. Not the same standard. Seemed busy with takeaway delivery drivers marching in with crash helmets on! Wouldn’t go back. ☹️

Not as good as previous visit last year. Restaurant was very busy on a Friday evening, made worse by many takeaway and Deliveroo orders, which slowed down the service for diners. I had a poor Prawn Puri starter (minced prawns?) and the others had quite small main course portions, albeit good flavour. Pleasant, if slow, service. £30 per head for two courses and one beer seems quite pricey. But it's the only local Indian restaurant in Kew Gardens, so I expect we will be back.

Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Only slight problem, we were in the basement area which seemed a bit chilly ! (don't know whether heating was on.)

Authentic and REALLY excellent food. Offering the complimentary spicy soup as a warm-up on arrival was a lovely gesture. Good presentation and great service. Book ahead to ensure a table.

We chose Rara for its proximity to the Kew botanical gardens. What a great find! Everyone was welcoming and very helpful in giving us menu suggestions. The food was flavorful and tasted freshly made

Warm and welcoming hospitality! We arrived a few minutes before our 6 o' clock reservation and were seated immediately. It was an especially busy Friday night with the Christmas at Kew going on. Our service was prompt and polite and the food excellent, as always. Highly recommend Rara if you are in the neighborhood!

I have previously visited this restaurant and experienced some of the best service and food I could wish for, however, on this occasion it was a dreadful experience and so was the food. I doubt I shall ever return again. I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

My friend from Hong Kong had never had Indian food this good. Great service and atmosphere. If you aren’t sure what to order the staff recommendations will be spot on. Best in the area.
