Red Mezze

Just right for the occasion - a gathering of six old friends. Good food, service, value and a very pleasant atmosphere. A bit different for this time in December as It was not overtaken by Christmas. We all enjoyed it.

Great food in a friendly setting. Huge portions! We had the Sunday feast which is certainly well named. I would definitely recommend this Turkish Resaurant

LOVELY FOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY BUSY RESTAURANT WHICH SHOWS WHY ITS SO POPULAR. lOTS OF DIFFERENT DISHES TO TRY WHICH WILL SUIT EVERYONES TASTE.

Great food, good services and very reasonable prices. Arrived on a wet Sunday for lunch,so we pretended we were on holiday in sunny Turkey. Toilets upstairs were clean.

Wonderful warm welcome as always from the people that work here and the food is amazing, authentic fresh and so tasty - you can’t go wrong if you book a table here

Really good restaurant. Staff are so helpful but not overpowering! Very busy before the match but staff just get on with it no dramas! Staff are great at saving you money also which is a pleasant surprise when eaten out. If what you order can be priced as the early bird cheaper menu they don’t hesitate to tell you. Very chilled out excellent eating place

Excellent food & service. Three courses for £9.95 which is great for city centre and the cheap price did not reflect the quality which was excellent

Always great food been many times, and cannot fault anything. Early Bird menu, is great value £9 95 for 3 courses, and they don't cutback on quantity. Drinks are well priced too. Will continue to frequent here. Love it !!! Cheers Jeff

Very good value for money. My friends and I really enjoyed our meal. The staff are friendly and we could stay after we finished our meal a bit longer just for a chat.

Friendly staff, lovely food. Good value for money. Chicken kebab always good, had the happy hour which is excellent value. Tried the lamb ribs this time which were also nice.

Great food, great portions, great prices! There were 2 vegans in our group, one of which is gluten free and there were lots of options and the chef happily removed dairy from the vegetarian meals to accommodate further. The meat eater said the creamy chicken was incredible, very authentic and he had only just been to Turkey the previous week!! Highly recommend!

The menu is brilliant and the food is superb. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. We always enjoy our lunch here and will return soon.

Reasonable Turkish food. Maitre d’ not the most happy person. Not as good as Lazettes in Benton. Don’t think we will return again to this place

Very good efficient service, taste food. The only problem is the toilet is upstairs which isn’t very good for elderly people but otherwise would recommend it

Very good food &excellent service .We had the lunchtime special which was reasonably priced. Plenty of parking nearby.It is situated very close to St.James Park so if going on a Saturday when their is a home match you will need to book.

Great restaurant with authentic cuisine and friendly staff. No burgers, chips or steak on this menu which was refreshing. Restaurant is out of the way of main shopping area of Newcastle so attracts a more discerning cliental.

Once again had a lovely meal at Red Mezze. The 3 course early bird menu is great value for money and has a great choice. This menu doesn’t compromise on the portion sizes like some restaurants. All the dishes were extremely tasty.

Had table booked, when arrived the table wasn’t ready. Only had to wait a couple of minutes but when the table was ready they got our attention by nodding their head towards the table which I thought was a little rude. Then we were sat on a table right near a radiator which was boiling hot and squashed between two other tables so felt very uncomfortable. Waited a while for someone to come and take our drinks order which was annoying because it was so hot near the radiator I needed water, in the end I was too busy fanning myself with the menu to actually have a look and just opened it up saw the first thing I recognised (salmon) and ordered that. Food was nice but wouldn’t hurry back because of the experience.
