Red Mezze

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle. I have been here many times and the service is outstanding. The staff are super friendly (although you might get a wrong impression at first due to the work overload that they have), while the food is just delicious! Also, very good value for money. Highly recommended!

We love Red Mezze. It's almost our default restaurant for any family celebrations now. Great food, nice atmosphere, warm and welcoming staff. They always spend time chatting with us but also never crowd us ... a real skill to get the balance right

Went with my brother and Dad. Had high expectations as a few friends raved about the place. Was not disappointed. Lovely food, good beer and friendly staff. Overall a great place.

Nice. Well cooked lamb. Juicy. Worth the amount of money spent especially when you are extremely hungry. Really enjoyed the warm bread in the beginning too.

Food was great as usual. We book for lunch as we know that the food will be served quickly but that never means it is not excellent. Staff are always very attentive.

Just been back again for late lunch to this great little restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Food and service, as ever, were excellent. The chicken dish I had was so tasty and the chicken very tender. It's also great value. Will be back and would recommend Red Mezze to anyone.

Went for 1/2 term lunch with mam and daughter. My mam had the filo parcels for starter, unfortunately the menu didn't state they contained melted cheese as part of the filling, which she hates so that was really disappointing. I had the mitti kofte which was ok. For mains my daughter and I had the chicken kebabs which were deliciously spiced, and my mam had the fish guvec, which was also delicious, with the turkish bread. All in all we would definitely go back but please review the menu to state cheese where it's present! Also, there was a store room behind where we were sitting, every time someone entered, which seemed to be every 5 minutes, there was an icy blast and it took ages to warm up again.

Great food and great service! We were there on Valentine's Day and thought everything might feel a bit rushed, but not at all - the atmosphere was relaxed and we had a lovely evening.

As always, great food and friendly service. Had the lunch time special menu which is a real bargain. Will definitely return again in the near future

Nice place, attentive, authentic staff, topped off with superb food. The bill was also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend Red Mezze. Can't ask for anything more!

A great clean restaurant with excellent customer service friendly and helpful and food is so good you don't want your plate to be empty. Would recommend to families, couples groups and just a single to take a seat and have a lovely meal cause you won't feel alone and it would be the best meal youve had. Thank you to chefs waitress and host you do a great job and it's a treasure of a place in Newcastle.

Great location close to the city centre, amazing food, fast service, great portions. The washroom is spacious and clean. The staffs were very cordial. Highly recommended

Fantastic service, great food and very fairly priced. It was literally a matter of seconds between being finished with starters to the mains arriving. Similar with dessert too. Overall a great experience and I will be back for sure.

Brilliant restaurant. The food was lovely and the staff were all very friendly, felt just like being in Turkey. The decoration was amazing loved all the colourful lamps and the pictures of iconic landmarks. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent atmosphere, and authentic Turkish cuisine. Strongly recommend the cold mezze. Parking around Christmas time was a nightmare, and it took us half an hour to park! Management should negotiate with Barker and Stonehouse to use their parking lots after a certain time

Always enjoy our nights out at the Red Mezze in Newcastle,very reasonable prices,good variety of food and very tasty,friendly staff,great atmosphere every time we visit.

I have eaten here a few times the welcome was great as usual, the meals was excellent and the service great. The only downside was the special time menu does not have any hot starters, this would be a lot better especially on cold winter days, otherwise everything excellent.
