Red Mezze

Even though the restaurant was really busy (it was a football match night) the staff were great, meal was delicious and everything was really good

I was really excited to try Red Mezze as I have had it on my 'list to try' for quite some time. I had heard really good things about this place and it didn't disappoint. The food was really tasty and staff were friendly will definitely be going on my 'to go back to' list!

Excellent Turkish place. Lamb was superb and not overly priced. Quite small and busy so expected a wait but service was quick as well as friendly.

First time I've been here. We had the early menu prior to a evening at the theatre and were delighted with the available choice, the standard of service and, of course, the food. All at very reasonable prices; we'll definitely be back.

It has a good menu, nice food and the service is also good. Food was served very quickly. It's just a pity it's not very wheelchair accessible.

Very busy pre-match but having booked - it still took 10 mins to be seated. Service was quick and food was good. Been before and will go again.

Nice food, friendly staff. Music was a bit loud but they turned it down when we asked. Nice sweet treats as well. A good place for a group of friends to eat together.

Would have been 6/6 had the service been more attentive and friendlier. Food was absolutely amazing, shame the waiting staff were miserable and not very forthcoming

Delicious food and excellent service. Meal also incredibly reasonable working out approx £20/head. Would recommend all dishes and if back in Newcastle would definitely return.

A warm welcome and good service complemented by excellent food. Every time we.'be been it's been great. During winter try to get to lower room as it can be cold near foot.

Friends recommended us therefore a first visit for us. Didn't disappoint, fab food good atmosphere and lovely staff, very pleasant and great service. We even received a small delicious dessert to share which was a memorable gesture. We'' lost certainly return.

Booked for four people for a work lunch. We had to start very early - we got there before 12 - and the restaurant was fairly empty, but it rapidly filled up and there was a really good Friday lunchtime atmosphere suggesting a very well run business. The food was excellent, and the service was good. Some of the staff were a little brusque and not easy to get the attention of, while others were extremely helpful and friendly. Overall a very good experience, and I made a mental note to go back there as soon as possible with the family.

I have been to Red Mezze a few times now and the food never disappoints me, fabulous every time and excellent value for the price.

The food and service were amazing. The portion sizes were very generous also. Although we went during happy hour, we ordered from the main menu and it doesn't disappoint. I would highly recommend to anyone to pay a visit to this restaurant. We were 30 mins early for our reservation but were seated straight away.

Good, friendly service even though the restaurant was busy before the football match ... excellent food ... and great value on the specials menu ... looking forward to going back again!

Food was lovely They made my 4 year old food at request which was great although did charge full price for it they should have a children's menu as paid £10 for her to eat half

Great food and excellent atmosphere with staff aware that there was a football match on so did their best to keep things moving without you feeling rushed.

Amazing food really good service was very busy so make sure you book The table we had wasn't in the best location as we were close to another table if they had both had 4 on would have been a squash but didn't affect the food that was fabulous will definately return

The only reason I'm giving this a 5 rather than a 6 is because there was a bit of confusion about gluten free options. Other than that, the staff were lovely, the food was a joy and we had a really amazing meal.

Excellent food and excellent service. Ate with you Monday and Tuesday night, brought 3 visitors with me on Tuesday night and they were very impressed too

Absolutely loved it. We were celebrating my mother in laws 79th birthday, she hadn't had Turkish food before but she loved everything. Would definitely recommend this

Great food, good sized portions and excellent service. We opted for the hot and cold shared platter as a starter between four of us - plenty of food - and a main course each. Very good value.

Friendly and efficient service and great food. The ambiance was relaxed - we were not squashed together with other diners and were given a table for 4, even though there were only two of us. A very enjoyable evening; we would certainly go back again

Excellent food and great service to go with a good atmosphere all add up to a really enjoyable night. We took out our 90 year old parents / in laws and they too thoroughly enjoyed themselves, all for a reasonable price. We went for a selection of mezzo rather than a main meal and it worked out rather cheap taking the wine into account. Recommended.

Great restaurant, great service and amazing food!! Loved everything about Re Mezze. Would recommend the houmous and Lamb kebab were a definite hit with us! Even got a free dessert!

Myself and my partner visited Red Mezze at 5 on a Friday evening to take advantage of the early bird special.The service was excellent and very friendly. The food very nice (and affordable!). The lamb meatballs were especially good.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the service was very good. Staff could not do enough to help and it was very good value.

Great food at an affordable price. Portions are huge ! There is a wide choice from the menu and everything is really tasty. Staff is very friendly as always. I go to this restaurant regularly and it has always been spot on.

The food was delicious. This was our 2nd visit to Red Mezze but the personal service wasnt as good as the 1st time, whether it was because we went for lunch instead of dinner, but there was a lack of atmosphere in the restaurant

Out of this world beautiful food will never go anywhere else best turkish good I have ever tasted will recommend to everyone I know and friends

Lovely food and the service was excellent even though it was very busy and the table we had booked was not available for about 15mins. However the sincerity of the apology and regular updates about the table becoming available meant we were not anxious. Value for money excellent - meal for 4 with starters, main meals some deserts and 2 bottles of wine for under £90! We'll be back next time we are in Newcastle.

This was my second visit to Red Mezze . The food was very good and well presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming although one was less so than the others. Perhaps she was having a bad day.
