Red Onion

We both had the 2 course pre -theatre menu. Both were delicious but the char-grilled chicken could do with a bit more korma sauce.

Terrific value lunch from a set menu with lots of choice. Food was excellent, beautifully presented and very enjoyable. Service was top notch and the dining room is a great space with a good vibe. Thanks to the Red Onion team for a lovely meal. Hope to be back soon.

As a vegan I love the choice and quality of food I have in red onion, and also the fact that it is inclusive and I don't have to ask and draw attention to myself or feel that I am creating extra work for anyone. My visit yesterday was fantastic as always and the chef even came out to the restaurant to talk to customers and ensure they had enjoyed their food, I could feel the passion he has for his job and to ensure the food is inclusive to celiacs, vegans and allergy sufferers without feeling we are putting anyone out. Due to this the red onion will continue to be my favourite eating place in Glasgow and I will return time and time again

Lovely room. Nice staff, nice food, not too noisy on the balcony, good value.

The restaurant is cold, I did not want to hang about because of this. It’s looking a bit run down too. Food was lovely!

Given good seat as a solo diner. Staff were prompt and attentive. Food tasted good as was presentation . Liked wine also. When I then phoned about something I may have mislaid very helpful staff.

We had a fabulous lunch today. The food was lovely, we both had starters and mains from the fixed menu, hubby also ordered 2 sides, everything tasted fantastic. Our food and drink were served quickly, with nice timing between courses. Staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. Definitely be back.

My sister and I were at Red Onion today for lunch. I had given her an itison gift voucher for her Christmas. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The food, service and waiting staff were brilliant. The staff were all very friendly, courteous and very professional. We didn't have to wait too long in between courses. I would definitely highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much to all Red Onion staff.

What a really amazing dining experience! Staff were so lovely, restaurant was very cute and had a lovely atmosphere. The food was honestly so amazing! I really have no faults, would 100% recommend and will be back! I also loved the pictures of people who supported them throughout the years, just a really lovely place

From the minute we walked in the door we were looked after by the amazing servers. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The gluten free menu had plenty of choice. We will definitely be coming back!

One of the best restaurants in Glasgow Atmosphere service and food first class

Susanna our waitress was wonderful and took care of all of our dietary needs. The food was incredible and absolutely delicious. Value for money was good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was comfortable and cosy. Will certainly be returning, to try all of those other delicious options on the menu.
