came for the sunday roast dinner and it didn’t disappoint best roast dinner i’ve had in a long time. Staff are lovely very attentive and friendly and the chef even came out to chat with people a really nice touch highly recommend here especially for the roast

First time at the Red Onion and from the moment we walked through the door the staff were very friendly and attentive ( you should be proud of all your staff). Spacious airy surroundings and we had a cosy table by the fire. We have only one word to describe the food fantastic. It might have been our first visit but it's definitely not our last.

The food was great. Service was a bit slow, I suspect they were short staffed on that night. However, it definitely won’t stop us from returning, the overall experience was fantastic.

Fantastic food as always. Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and staff are pleasant and helpful.

Well presented dishes. The goats cheese starter was lovely but the rocket salad was overpowering. The seabass was perfectly cooked but again far too much rocket in the salad. Would have preferred different leaves and a bit more avocado. It was lovey to visit this restaurant again while here on a weekend break.

Everything was wonderful. Table was set up and ready for us when we arrived. Staff very efficient and friendly. Food was amazing and atmosphere lovely.

The food was delicious however the head chef visited tables and this is where it went wrong. We were a family celebrating a birthday. He came over and didn’t mention the birthday instead commented that our food order was “light” and had we all had a big lunch! The food was excellent and when we received the bill it didn’t look right. The waitress had a look and noticed we were being over charged. We had ordered 2 sides that were put through the till as mains. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Overall we won’t be returning as we felt that it was all about the money for them and not the experience for their customers.

One of our most favourite restaurants in Glasgow and, as usual, it didn't disappoint. Bang bang chicken and smoked haddock fishcake were delicious. Lovely warm welcome from the staff. ☺️

We had a fabulous celebration three course meal at the Red Onion. What a lovely little restaurant tucked just behind Saucihall street, a lovely cosy atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. Food was amazing , and the wine was delicious! .
