Absolutely love the Red Onion. It's always best to book as walk in is very rare. On saturday it was rather noisy as there were groups of women on night out. The food and staff are brilliant and it's great value for money.

Food was fantastic. Girls serving were lovely. Great atmosphere in the place.

Service and atmosphere were great. Food is outstanding. Slightly longer wait for dessert and because of this our drink and dessert was taken off our bill.

Chicken was a bit dry on the lemon chicken korma dish. Hard to cut. But all in all it was lovely evening. We've been to Red Onion a few times and always enjoy our visit.

Food and service were very good, staff were very obliging and friendly. Only downside was we were all cold, the seat we had was at the top of the stairs and there seemed to be a constant flow of cold air from there, they did put a small heater there but it was not sufficient to cope, they were unable to move us to another table.

We have been many times to Red Onion and always enjoyed it - it's a favourite. Food is always good, service excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Booking on line is also easy and hassle free.

We had a lovely visit to the Red Onion. Food was very nice. There was a slight issue with the steak. When the waitress asked why some had been left, and we explained, she took it away, came back and said it had been removed from the bill. We certainly weren’t looking for this but we really appreciated the kind gesture. We will definitely be back.

We have been before and will continue to go as it is the best gluten free restaurant in Glasgow. Plus, excellent service.

Have wanted to visit this restaurant for some time … it didn’t disappoint! A beautiful restaurant, with the most beautiful Christmas decorations and an open fire … given the very cold weather it was perfect with a wonderful ambience. The food lived up to all expectations… delicious 😋 Staff couldn’t do enough for us … all in all a great night … I’ll be back 😁

The ambience and service at this restaurant is first class. My main was a little overcooked but that won’t stop me from returning: a lovely lunch overall and I will be back.

The food was very tasty and service was extremely friendly. All this in a cozy atmosphere.

Arrived a bit early but were given a warm welcome before our friends arrived. The whole evening was a lovely experience much enjoyed by the four of us. Food was excellent and staff friendly and attentive. We have been before and will be back.

Will definitely be back, the food was lovely, the soup was roasting hot, I had the scallops and they were very tasty, blade of beef with lots of gravy and the crumble, all delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Excellent service, good food and welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

It was a bit mixed. The decor is lovely but the room was cold. Some of the meals were very tasty but others were cold & just ok. The same story for the puddings. The hot chocolate was cold, bitter & watery.

We booked the pre theatre menu before a show at the kings theatre. This was part of my sisters 50th birthday celebrations. As a special touch the red onion restaurant gave her a complimentary happy birthday dessert which was really kind.

Starters where lovely, mains all good except for the vegan risotto, had a butternut squash risotto but it was so cheesy. Cheese not noted on menu and person does not like cheese. We all tasted it and was so strong like a bag of quavers. Bowl of chips was ordered instead.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed our food however my partner found what looked like bits of plastic in his bang bang chicken starter. We pointed this out to the member of staff when she came to collect our plates and she said it was probably noodles but would mention it to the kitchen. There was no follow up and We didn’t hear anymore about it and no it didn’t look like noodles Disappointed in the customer service regarding this .
