This was our First Experience at this Establishment and we Thoroughly enjoyed it, The Staff were Friendly, Attentive & Hard Working, They had the Perfect Balance of ensuring you have what you need but not being overbearing. The Decor for Christmas was Stunning. There is plenty of Space between the Tables for so you can have Conversations without feeling too close to others. The Food was Exquisite, I would Highly Recommend Red Onion.

Arrived early and was greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our seat. Fixed price menu, onion soup, Spanish pork then crumble to finish, absolutely delicious!! Such good value. Next time in Glasgow this will be my go to without a doubt.

Restaurant was decorated beautifully creating a lovely ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was lovely. Only reason for losing 1 smile is that it we felt the Christmas vegan set menu was a little pricey. And we’re vegetarian not vegan but couldn’t choose dessert from regular menu which was a shame.

Really enjoyable lunch at the Red Onion. Food was fantastic, as ever. We had a pleasant table with not too much noise around and the staff were attentive but not overbearing. There was no sense of being rushed but service was swift. All in all, ideal!

My wife and I really enjoyed our 1st visit to the Red Onion, the front of house staff were all very welcoming and attentive but not overly. The food was excellent and the ambience was great, also we had plenty of table space. My only gripe was the gent's toilet could have been a bit cleaner.

We were quite disappointed to be honest. Have been regulars at red onion over the years and raved to our friends about it. We were quite embarrassed as it didn’t look e up to usual standards. The food wasn’t as nice as usual. And it was dishes we had taken on previous visits. Bang bang chicken as a starter was much more spicy than normal. Apart from that when I showed my friend to the toilets - they were quite honestly filthy. There was only one at the end we would use. I know you can’t help if someone doesn’t flush or clean up after themselves but I think they should check before they open in the evening as we were one of the first in. Quite honestly. I would think twice about going back.

Had high expectations having seen this restaurant win an episode of Come Dine With Me. Decor was outstanding. Food beautifully presented. Pork was tasty but shin of beef was fatty and not as tender as it should have been. Chocolate brownie was very dry. Service so-so. Staff seemed more focused on chatting with each other rather than customers.

We as a group of six adults really enjoyed the ambience the food and the service was second to none as we all agreed .There was a very big problem when we tried to pay our bill .The cashier making up the bills was trying to make a pound or two of us infact more than £30 . 4 times the waitress tried to get it fixed .The person in charge of the bills doubled up our drinks that we never ordered and thank goodness we noticed how many other customers has that person done that too .We won’t be back or recommend this place first and last .

Lovely food, good choices on both the fixed price and a la carte menus. The fixed price is great value for money, especially considering the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were out celebrating a friend's birthday and they had piped Happy Birthday on her dessert plate which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

We were a group of 3 friends celebrating Christmas. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table by our server who was friendly and helpful for the duration of our visit. We all ordered from the pre-theatre menu which had a varied selection to choose from. Excellent food and service we would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Red Onion again, although it was sad to be there without John Quigley popping out of the kitchen to say hello. As ever the food and service were very good and our friends who hadn’t been before were equally impressed.
