We have been coming to Red onion for years, and it never disappoints. John and his staff always make you welcome. Once you have been you wont stop talking about it and like us encourage your friends and family to experience what you experience. The food is second to none and we look forward to returning again soon.

Tasty food, good menu choice, friendly, welcoming service, thank you!

Food great, but menu doesn't seem to have been changed in years. One Vegan in the group & Vegan menu requested, on seeing the starters, 3 of us went for Vegan ones as a change. Unfortunately when we asked to see desserts, the server didn't bring the Vegan menu & our diner didn't want to make a fuss, so one less dessert ordered. Overall it's a great venue with good quality food, but unless the menu gets a shake up, probably not more than every 6 months to dine.

Food was ok. Amazing options for gluten and dairy free. Took a long time to get food and service was lack luster.

The only negative is the price of the wine. It is nice, but very pricy.

The service, food and atmosphere were all good. The area upstairs where we were sitting in a booth was a bit cramped.

I was running late and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, friendly service from all.

I had not been to the restaurant for many years but saw an ‘Itis On’voucher which was excellent value therefore decided to try it. The food was excellent, the wine very reasonably priced with a good selection and the service (served by Nic) was very good. I will definitely go back even without a voucher.

Charming place, decor was lovely, food was really good and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, though, we had asked for water (tap), which was not brought to us before the meal. After asking for it again, we finally got it after we had finished our starters, however, one of the glasses was used with lipstick on it. We then waited another 5 minutes for a replacement. We wouldn't let that put us off returning though.

The staff were lovely. Very friendly, efficient and helpful Food was great. We loved the Sunday roast dinner. Stuffed with food we couldn’t manage a sweet but a lovely coffee completed our meal We shall return

We had a lovely pre theatre meal. Prompt friendly and helpful service without being rushed. The food was very good. The restaurant was quite busy, which is good. but a large party were quite loud. It didn't upset our meal though. Been there a few times and will definitely be back.

A lovely traditional restaurant with up to the minute menus. Being Gluten Free it’s often challenging to get suitable menus but the GF menu here is excellent, with few changes from the normal menu. My friend and I both chose fish options and were very happy with our choices. Good portion sizes and well presented as well as tasing delicious!

The staff was really aloof, missed quality check and offering water. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled. Food was good and served in a timely fashion.
