It was OK - starter nice ( scallops) I'd the brisket which was nice but my wife's fishcake wasn't so great - cold poached egg

Early evening options for pre-theatre or a la carte menu provide good choice. Food nicely cooked, good atmosphere and chef came to table to check we were enjoying the meal.

Bang bang chicken not as good as last time, main meal which was duck was not warm enough as were the potatoes. I have been to the Red Onion numerous times and felt the £211 bill for 4 was not worth it.- sorry. I am just being honest. We eat out at least 2-3 times a week.

Came for set lunch. Lovely food and ambience as always. The service was pretty good, although slightly more friendly would be nice...and we were asked 3 times in 5 minutes if we were ready to order.

Starters and dessert were substandard. Very disappointed as I've had such good experiences in the past, if it were my first time visiting then I'd be reluctant to go again. Was hopefully just a one off.

Bang bang chicken starter was a bit bland. Had to wait half hour for bill. When we arrived put in very small table at door with a pillar and had to be moved.

Lovely food - french onion soup was so perfectly authentic in flavour and presentation. Really great wines to choose from. Exciting menu - a heady mix of traditional and bold, blended to perfection. Tip-top service!

Had lunch with their fixed lunch menu, 2x courses for £10.50 / 3x courses for £13.50. Food was excellent and great value. Only negative was price of the drinks. No draught beer available and 330ml bottle of local lager was £4.95 and 175ml of wine was £6.15. Accept that the drink prices subsides the food but still think the price of the drinks was excessive

Good food served with friendly service. It was nice to be offered water automatically. More prominent outer signage would be helpful in preventing this good restaurant being overlooked by passers-by. I was meeting a friend there but she couldn't find it, having already walked past it twice.

For health reasons I have to follow a gluten and dairy free diet - this is by far the best restaurant I have been too that caters for my needs. So many options! Staff were also very attentive and place has a lovely atmosphere

A great lunchtime venue, tables not too crowded together, music background rather than in your face/ears, attentive staff, tasty food and a reasonable price, ideal for lunchtime meetings

Been here plenty of times and never wrote a review, it's definitely my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. Have brought my entire family here and lo and behold my mother had 3 courses! This for a woman who eats a main and leaves half on the plate 😅 Staff is adorable but the main reason I love it is because the menu is so thought through, all the flavours go beautifully together and their vegan menu is absolutely fantastic, I can only recommend it.

The restaurant coped with the change in numbers. The food was very good as was the service. Downside was the £20 service charge because we were more than six. I know that it is in the small print, but I really don't see the need as obviously the got two more starters, mail courses, drinks and an extra bottle of wine!
