Good selection of choices on the pre-theatre menu. The sweet potato soup and chicken currry were delicious and my husband said the fish cake was excellent.

Nice! The menu said the duck would be cooked ‘pink’, however it was more closer to ‘well done’. Sat for a while before they took our empty plates away. However, overall the evening was ‘nice’, but slightly lacked those finishes!

A friend recommended the Red Onion and she was right. 'The place to be' and a lot of vegan options as well. We've spent a great evening!

Booked the 5 course taster menu for my partners birthday... without a doubt the best meal we’ve ever had. Great sized portions and tasted unreal! Brilliant service as well .

As usual, we enjoyed this restaurant with one exception. I'm afraid one of the waitresses was abrupt and clearly neds more training.

Second visit to Red Onion. My only slight complaint would be the noise levels in the restaurant. Admittedly it was very busy on Saturday evening but it was difficult to have a conversation without shouting. Food quality was good. Made the mistake of having a side dish as a starter ... to much!

We arrived half an hour early for our booking but that was no problem for the staff. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent and great value.

Waited just over 25 Mins after receiving menus, seated on upper level 2nd from the end, wall badly marked with splashes ???? Ordered soup of the day, was ok, then Spanish style pork loin-grisly bit through the middle, wife's mushroom risotto was too sloppy on arrival, presentation was nice but poor quality C'mon Quigley you can do better .........

As a vegan, I appreciated the choice. My omnivorous companions were also very happy. Waiting staff friendly and helpful.

Everything about our visit was great. The food was excellent, the waiting staff were very polite and efficient and for the quality of the food the price was very good. The gluten free choices were numerous, certainly as many as the standard menus, which is a refreshing change. There is also GF beer available. The real bonu on the GF menu is the sweets, there is actually a choice rather than the usual icecream or nothing aproach which most restaurants adopt. Keep up the good work guys.

very friendly people. Fresh food. Wine could be better presented, but probably Scotland does not habe a big wine culture. But glasses with the „wine fly“ are well filled up. For sure worth a visit
