These are the best chicken wings anywhere in Southampton. All the meat is great, beer is incredible too. I love this place.

The three of us had a fantastic time. There was a lovely vibe and all the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and the sauces were amazing!

Absolutely great. Brilliant food and service - well worth a visit. I wouldn’t hesitate in going back and trying some more feasty delights! The Ale’s are fantastic and they’ll happily bring you over tasters to see what you like and they are all high quality, different tasting brews.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. It was a shame that only half the beers were available. Overall a good night out and definitely couldn't eat any more!

Nice food and surroundings. As a group we opted for the Bear Grylls for 7 people. A good choice of lovely, well cooked food and plenty for everyone Good choice of beers (but had run out of a couple that we wanted to try) Will return.

Love the food at Sadlers, big portions and very tasty ribs and wings. Beers are excellent, highly recommended. Felt a little rushed by our waitress today, but other than that the service was great.

We had the Thursday BBQ platter and it was really good and filling. I liked the BBQ pulled pork best and my friend loved the chicken wings.

Great food, good service and a huge range of home brewed ales. Would recommend to anyone who loves BBQ grilled meat and the deserts aren’t half bad either.

Amazing atmosphere and incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. The food is delicious and plentiful, albeit a tad pricey. The links sausages are especially Amazing, though the seasoning for the chicken wings is an acquired taste.

Food was quite slow, although staff were attentive. They got one of the orders wrong which was a shame. The food is nice, but for the price you expect a little better

Had to wait a while to order our food. I had to call them over after seeing them serve tables that arrived after us. It took over an hour for out food to come out. Didnt let us know there was long wait. My husbands fries were cold. Mine and my brothers sweet potato fries were over cooked, half were un edable. The food used to be great portions now seemed to have got much smaller and more money. We didnt say anything about the cold food etc as we were there from half 7.30 and didnt get our food until 8.55. We were all extremly hungry and just wanted to eat and go.

We had a good night but the service wasn't up to the expected standard by a long shot - we waited for nearly an hour for our food to arrive and when it did it came in waves so a few people got theirs a LONG time before others. There was also one Bears Grill which my friend was unable to eat much of because the whole plate was literally drenched in the hot sauce from the wings. The other grills had no hot sauce on any of the meat other than the wings. When we pointed it out we were told (rather abruptly) that there was nothing they could do as the kitchen had closed (?!?). Will probably give it a miss in future which is a real shame.

Very disappointed with the food quality. And the wooden boards the food was served on didn’t look very hygienic.. the place it’s self could do with a deep clean. Table were sticky. And the price of the food compared to the quality was way out.

This is was the first time we had visited the Sadlers Brewhouse. We googled bucket of chicken wings and their website came up. We booked easily online. When we turned up they seemed quite flustered and lots of things were missing from the menu. The venue has a nice air to it, great place for a group get together, a bit too loud for a date. Took them a whilst to sort out a table but we were sat on comfortable raised bar stools at a table for two by the radiator which was welcomed as it was raining and cold outside. We ordered drinks and the waiter was funny and cheerful. We ordered the chicken wings and he was very informative and checked some questions we had with the kitchen regarding allergens. At this point he asked for either ID or a bank card because they had recently had a lot of ‘dine and dash’ situations. I offered to pay in advance if it was a problem but not a problem for us. ID handed over and food ordered. The music was great, a real mix of alternative rock songs from across the ages and from our vantage point we could see some of the amazing creations coming from the kitchen. We took pictures to send to the food/meat centric people we know. Very Instagram friendly food! Our food came out and it looked fabulous. I had asked for a blue cheese sauce which had been confirmed with the kitchen before placing my order. However I could see the kitchen staff in a fluster (polite word) about providing this, apparently the blue cheese sauce wasn’t a sauce, more of a butter. Not a problem for me, add mayo and off we go but it wasn’t great seeing the annoyance of the staff considering I did ask before ordering. The food was divine! Best wings I’ve had in this country! They were covered in the right amount of sauce, crunchy at the edges and succulent and meaty. Very very impressed. Chips were crunchy and all allergen requirements were met which is great! We made a mess of ourselves using our hands and spare plates were provided for the bones with plenty of napkins. Our table was partially cleared and then no one came back. We weren’t offered further drinks or puddings and the rest of the table wasn’t cleared. After 15 minutes or so we flagged down a staff member to ask for the bill. 15 minutes later no bill had arrived. I think I may have figured out why so many customers dine and dash... although you could dine and crawl out of there and I don’t think anyone would notice. Eventually the bill came and the staff disappeared again. We weren’t comfortable leaving the cash on the table and going as there were no staff to ensure it wasn’t pocketed so we went to the bar to hand over the money and collect my ID. Overall we were very impressed with the food. The customer service was poor although the staff were nice. Solve the dine and dash problem by ensuring customers are taken care of at the end of their meals and I think this would be a problem of the past. Would highly recommend for the food!

Decided it’s time to put quality over quantity. Restaurant almost empty. Would appeal to younger customers but didn’t think price reflected lunch or surroundings. Staff good though!

There is a decent range of good beer, the food (American barbeque) is also good. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Also, get the cornbread, it's great.

Friendly staff, great music playing in the background, top choice of real ales and cider on tap and the piste de resistance of course... the amazing BBQ and smoked meats! Thursday's are the best night to visit, when loaded platters are just £12pp.

Poor quality food. I have eaten at many bbq restaurants and was looking forward to visiting sadlers. Meat was very fatty, cornbread was stale and cold, fries tasted greasy. I would not return and would not recommend.

The food was fantastic! The service was a bit slow but that was due to the amount of people in the restaurant, which is understandable! The menu is a bit pricey but when you look at the portion sizes, it makes sense! Overall a fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere!

Not impressed. Of the four Vegetarian options on the menu only two were available and we waited a total of 40 minutes before our food order was served. When raised with the Manager all we were told was that days food delivery had not arrived and that they were short staffed in the kitchen.

The general experience was lovely and our waitress was really good with us as it was our first time! The food was lovely but it seemed to take an extremely long amount of time to be served and then some times were missing! The restaurant also seemed to have run out of a lot of things including bbq sauce, we had to ask a lot for drinks and missing things which put a dampener on the night, having said that the food was really tasty

Food was okay, a bit over spiced. Menus were scruffy and need replacing. No steak knife offered with steak. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. A bit baffled as to why we were asked for id or something. We were told it was due to people leaving without paying, but we didn't see anyone else being asked the for id!
