Food was amazing and plenty of it. If i had one negative thing to say would be that the service could have been a little quicker. Saying that we will definitely return.

Food was great staff where great (we have 2 year old twins so a friendly atmosphere goes along way with us) reasonably priced will definitely be returning

Nearly everything was great, service, staff, variety of drinks, value for money. Only gripe the group had was the rub on the chicken wings was horrible (sorry)

Good food sadly poor service. No acknowledgment when we walked in despite there being 3 staff and only one table of 2. Were not offered a menu or asked if we were happy with our meal. We didn't know if it was tableservice or not but we had to order 2 lots of drinks and our meal at the bar. Enjoyed theSadler's cider but probably won't visit the Southampton branch again due to the inattentive staff

Food & atmosphere + service were exceptional definitely recommend, also their alcohol selection is one best ive seen so far.

The Bear Gryll’s Platter for the 4 of us was like a huge mountain of food & tasted great. The drinks menu needs to be re-designed to include all beverages/soft drinks as they only have the real ales booklet on the table. Waiter/waitress Service was a bit slow but overall very pleasant & friendly. Great place to eat & drink & will definitely be back soon. 😋🍻🍽

had the main deal menu for three at £24 each this was nice well cooked plenty of it. the other order was fish in beer batter this was well over cooked not nice. found the place very dull and uninviting personal opinion of course.

Amazing food and atmosphere, the only issue was it was hard to talk to my partner due to others shouting other then that we enjoyed ourself.

Really good grub, great atmosphere. Cheeky hidden car park nearby. Make sure you have the Bear Grill platter thing. Will definitely be back when my clothes fit again!!

Service was slow and no salsa available and we were there early, at 5pm. No follow up drinks order and had to ask for bill twice. Waiters showing rude signs to each other

The food was great and service was ok, not sure if we were just impatient but we didn't get as good table service as others around us, but the walk to the bar isn't strenuous and was always quick to serve. Would happily go again.

had Booked a table for 4 but had an extra person on the night, which the restaurant said no problem, we all had a lovely meal, food was fantastic and staff friendly and helpful.

Good food and service. Ordered the rump steak and was cooked medium rare as I'd asked. Although the skirt steak was cooked more like well done than the medium rare we'd asked for. Overall very good food though and would recommend

Excellent venue for a youth group meal (early evening; 5pm to 7pm). The Blazing Sadler's BBQ was plenty and varied and there were even left overs to take home (despite one person eating 12 chicken wings by themselves!) The atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely. They also honoured a verbal deal agreed with someone who had left but even if they hadn't it would have been really reasonable and we intend to return as a group in a few months (I also expect some individuals to return before then!)

Amazing burger! Lovely craft beers, good service. No table service you need to order at the bar but otherwise great place to eat. Defiantly going again.

The atmosphere was great, the drinks were fantastic as always, but the food was a little bit of a let down. Usually it can't be faulted, I'll give it another go next time though!

Booked a table for 6 on a quiet Tuesday in January, restaurant wasn’t busy but when we tried to order we were told they’d run out of ribs, 4 of our group wanted to order the triple burger so the barman went to check if they had enough burgers, he came back to say they only had enough for two, we asked to order two to then be told they wouldn’t sell us a triple burger only singles! We then went to order the platter of 50 chicken wings to share, the barman said he go and check availability, he came back, didn’t speak to us, went to the kitchen again, came back and then served another customer without acknowledging we were still waiting. After prompting an answer we were told there were enough wings. The food was good as has been the case on our previous visits but the availability of menu choices and service was terrible in this instance. Will now go elsewhere next time we head out.

Overall I was a bit disappointed with this trip to Sadlers. We are regular once a month visitors, and it is always excellent (food and service) but this time we had a very long (almost half hour, long by sadlers standards) for our food. We all were coming to try the pigs do fly, ribs and wings offer on Tuesdays, but at 19.30 we were told there were only 3 left. So two of our party had to have something else. When the food finally arrived, the wings were absolutely delicious, however, the ribs were seriously overcooked. We had to knaw the meat off the bone. It was not at all what you would expect from a bbq restaurant where ribs should slide off the bone. On this occasion we decided we would have dessert, because the mains were disappointing. We ordered cheesecake and rocky road. Considering this is just something you would slice, we were left waiting nearly 40 minutes. We decided to cancel the puddings and pay. We were told the pudding order had not gone through anyway so we were left waiting for nothing coming! We were all paying separately (5 of us) and we knew exactly what we had to pay. When it was my turn to pay (I had pigs do fly which included a drink for £12) I was told I had to pay £15. Everyone else's was wrong too. Once we had all paid what we expected to pay, we were told there was still £6 to pay! On studying the bill, we were being charged for one of the beers that should have been included in the pigs do fly, and also, they had done a deduction for the pigs do fly, because it went through at £15, so the deduction should have been £9 however, they were only deducting £7.20! It was a bit of a shambles on not even a very busy night. We were made to feel that we were trying to get away without paying enough. Hopefully it will be back to usual excellent standard next time.

Excellent meal. Family Christmas meal, and did not disappointment. Especially the sausages. Mmm.

I have previously dined here and it’s been amazing however on this occasion our night was ruined by a very rude member of staff who had no interest in serving us from the moment we arrived. We had booked the table for our work Xmas meal on a recommendation from myself and left embarrassed as our party was very disappointed with the service we received. Unfortunately this will be the last time we visit this establishment.

Good food and good service. We had a table for 4, good menu choices good. Lighting was good felt like a nice place to be.

We had steak which was quite nice but think you need to review what your serve with it, chips disappointing, need more of a chip like a chunky one. Extra seasoning disappointing not much taste and side salad was just a few salad leaves. Not worth the money

The food is very good if you like that type of meal, we were offered a doggy bag when we couldn't finish all the meat, the staff were friendly, good service.

went with high expectations was mostly disappointed. all served on cold plates, the bear grills was ok portion size but a lot of bone for24 quid!!!. friend had gammon and was inedable/tough and chips portion was tiny...the gammon on the bear grills was the same...waitress service was very good considering it was a busy post football night....for price and quality there are far better options in southampton.didnt complain as wont be going again!

It was ok my wife’s steak was quite tough which was a shame but we got money off our bill which was a nice gesture. Staff were great

The food here is incredible- huge portions and supremely tasty. Great selection of drinks to suit all tastes. The staff are well presented, friendly and efficient. We have been here twice now and will keep coming back!

Good food. Good value. Good staff and friendly atmosphere. The selection of beers is comprehensive and if unsure what to choose the bar staff will give you a sample taste before you buy.

Fabulous, food was fantastic and the service was absolutely perfect. The menu was extensive and easy to pick from. The choice of Ales and craft beers was also fabulous.

Service was superb - fast, friendly and really helpful. The food was amazing - we had the Bears Grill for 4 - huge amount of meat and had to take a doggy bag home! Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

First time. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Superb selection of beers ciders and sprits. And the food was pretty decent too. Will definitely go again.
