San Lorenzo - Gosforth

Excellent food yet again from San Lorenzo, 2nd time there in 2 weeks. The most amazing cheesecake ever. Will definitely be back very soon x

Had a lovely experience from start to finish. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had starters and mains which were both lovely. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room for pudding. Delicious.

Food was excellent as was the service. There was a relaxed ambience to the restaurant and overall everything was excellent there was nothing to fault.

Fantastic restaurant! Lovely decor, great ambience, delicious food at great value for money, especially on the happy hour menu. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Welcoming atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient and my friend and I enjoyed a very nice meal. There was a lunchtime special if we had wanted it which seemed good value.

Good food ( the mussels were fabulous) and excellent service especially by one particular older person who might or might not have been the owner. Some of the younger staff were ok if a bit less enthusiastic. The only issue is one that I have with most newer restaurants. This minimalist interior makes for a very noisy, not atmospheric as hoped, restaurant where you can hardly hear what anyone says. It needs some soft furnishings.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Easy to book online which is definitely advisable as it gets very busy in the evening. On good bus route which is handy.

It's lovely food and staff. Always value for money. And the tea time deals even better. X Great place. For friends family and even s quiet solo meal in the afternoon.

Excellent food & service - definitely worth a visit or two!!!! Restaurant has been refurbished since we were last here and is light and airy great improvement.

Waited 15 minutes or so for our pre-booked table but otherwise food and drinks were excellent. Great options on the menu and friendly and efficient service.

Flavourssome food with good attentive service, We were pleasantly surpised as wedidnt know what to expect. Next time we are in Gosforth we will definitely return.

We arrived late but it was not a problem we were shown to our table,unfortunately we had both forgotten our reading glasses so we were unable to read the menu.Not a problem the waitress promptly read the menu to us,we made our choices and thoroughly enjoyed our food.Service xcllnt atmosphere just finished off an enjoyable day .

Food was OK. 10 mains ordered, 2 wrong, 2 pizzas ordered for takeaway, 1 wrong, very polite staff tainted by not getting order correct, 1st visit excellent, 2nd visit very average.

We had a lovely night at San Lorenzo. Friendly staff, good service and lovely food made for a very nice night out with friends. Would definately recommend this restaurant!

Great service and v good food. An excellent neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Decent calamari followed by tasty meatballs and a nice bottle of house white wine.

Excellent food and great service, only criticism was the table was on the small side for 4 persons, not a lot of room for glasses / wine bottle etc...

This place has a lovely atmosphere, the place was buzzing on the Saturday night we were there. The food was fabulous and the staff are great, very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Had a great evening and will definitely go back.

This is an excellent restaurant - extensive Italian menu with all food freshly prepared and delicious. It's always busy so the atmosphere is good and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

Great atmosphere, very reasonably priced. Italian wines lovely. A bit too much garlic in one of our dishes but still very tasty. We will definitely return!

Was busy but we didn't wait too long for our food. Food very good and served hot. The staff were friendly and nothing seemed to be a bother. Will go back.

A last minute visit to San Lorenzo with friends. Good quality food, I had a really nice pizza, and the service is much improved since my last visit. We all enjoyed it.

Lovely time. Excellent service. Meatballs out of this world. Kids making own pizza lovely touch. Friendly and comfortable service. You will certainly be seeing us and friends in the future.

Lovely meal, excellent service. However we ordered a half portion of gluten free pasta as a starter and a gluten free pizza. There was a surcharge of £3.50 per dish! whilst we were advised that there would be a small surcharge, we didn't expect it to be more than 30% of the cost of each dish! Eating out at other Italian restaurants we've never been charged more than £1 extra and quite often there is no extra charge. This is excessive since you can buy a 500g pkt gf pasta for less than £1.50. Even the pizza base at £3.50 more than the standard one is ott. The bill spoilt our experience and even though part of the extra charge was refunded after we queried it I don't think we'll go again unless they bring their pricing in line with other just as good establishments.

Really lovely food, friendly service and not too expensive! Glad we booked as it was quite busy despite not being happy hour. Great menu with excellent range of choices. Food was delicious and served promptly despite the kitchen being busy. Will defo visit again!

Absolutely gorgeous food and wine and the staff are lovely! Bit noisy when its busy but its a small restaurant so can't be helped. Always our go to restaurant :)

Our experience at San Lorenzo s was very good. Staff helpful and attentive. Pizza too big for me. Would have been better with half pizza and salad.

When arriving staff very friendly and inviting. We had the early evening menu which was lovely and would definitely go back again and try something different off the meu.
