Saphari restaurant

Went for valentines menu but was not as advertised nothing my misses would eat was there it was basically normal buffet even though i rang up and asked beforehand i didnt make a fuss as had drove along way and didnt want to ruin the day but all my missess ate was lettuce and a slice of garlic bread. I ate a fair bit but not happy paying for missess to npt have what she wanted. Please could you contact me about this. Thanks steveb

Booked of an early lunch. Greeted at the door. Gentlemen was polite and efficient. Took us to our table straight away and asked if we knew how the restaurant operated. He also explained that payment it taken before you dine. Fetched us glasses with ice straight away for the bottomless soft drinks. A good variety of soft drinks were on offer, we then went for our first plates of food. There was a huge variety on offer and everything was presented beautifully. The whole restaurant was spotless from the tables and serving stations to the floor. All food was incredibly fresh and cooked in small batches. Nothing was hanging around under heat lamps for long periods. As soon as something ran out it was replaced with another freshly cooked small portion. Empty plates were collected very quickly so they were not cluttering your table. The sheer amount of different dishes on offer was impressive especially for a lunch time. One of our party is vegetarian and they had no problem finding a huge amount of suitable dishes. We each went up for more food several times. We had so much choice, it was hard to know where to start. Pizza was delicious and uber fresh. There were salads. Noodles, delicious curries both Chinese and Indian. Soup and bread rolls. Chinese and Indian starters. Chips obviously, To many dishes to possibly try them all but everything was amazing. The pudding selection was excellent. Bite sized pieces of gateaux and cake in several different flavours. Cheesecake, custard and coconut and orange pudding which I had two servings of. Jelly,fresh fruit and a couple more Indian deserts .thats names evade me at the moment, but both delicious. All were incredibly good. There is also a well stocked bar for those that aren't driving. There were several tables occupied close by but the noise level was not loud. The music was also at a level that didn't interfere with your conversation around the table. Every member of staff looked happy and all were polite and helpful. All in all we had a fantastic lunch and a brilliant experience. What fantastic value for money. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Food was really good but got seated really near entrance and toilet which was not ideal. Hence got a draft whenever door opened. Never been seated in that area before. Would have preferred to be seated in main restaurant as we have for past 10 years

Was seated quite quickly good selection of food choices staff were helpful and polite couldn’t fault anything really happy with the service and prices will definitely be back

Food was really good, however the roast beef and pork were served cold. The restaurant was very cold, we couldn't get our coat off. Apart from it the food was delicious and very good servicing from the waiters

A few of our guests had diarrhea and stomach ache after eating here. First impressions lovely restaurant but ppl literally on top of each other too rammed. Choice was good but not tasty quite bland. and the staff were really helpful and pleasant. Not sure if I would visit again tbh.

The place is nice, staff friendly considering how busy it is. A little noisy but that’s to be expected. Good choice of foods but I would say it was all only Luke warm. Nothing was hot at all, which if I were to go to a non buffet restaurant and they brought our food out that cold. I would complain and send it back. Especially as the total bill was just over £70. I was too tired to mention this and it’s the same everywhere at these sort of places. It’s like you just have to expect it and suck it up.

What's the point in advance booking if you still have to queue on arrival, advised you have to pay in advance and only have 1 hour 45 minutes, unclear as to when that started, can't get drinks brought to your table you have to go to the bar yourself, food was decent plenty of choice but given the smallest scoops of ice cream ever

Food not warm very bland man taking payment had no manners very impolite no thank you after paying a large amount for the meal,would not recommend or visit there again very disappointing evening

food was TERRIBLE!! almost inedible. our server didn't offer any drinks till 30 mins into eating, and also made us pay then too, which was honestly so rude as we all had food in our mouths and made us feel really uncomfortable. all the meats were rock solid and the food had almost no flavour. bread and cakes were STALE and had clearly been left out for hours.

It was nice, staff friendly, tables cleared at timely interval, water was brought as much as we needed. The only issue was the limited food options I’m guessing it’s because of the day picked

Such a lovely place and so worth the money, the staff were very attentive and very polite, the manger was amazing my mum has an allergy and he was very helpful showed her what she can eat and made sure everything was cooked fresh and even used new pans to avoid cross contamination, the venue itself is beautiful and I would highly recommend, will definitely go again

I am really quite disappointed about the meal we had today. We were told payment would be taken at the table before we ate and this wasn’t done. Instead it was done mid meal when we were all eating. Which I found extremely rude. I asked if that could be done when we’d finished but the waiter ignored my request and carried on. We had to ask two different waiter for a jug of water. At no point did any one ask if we wanted to order drinks. I had to put all of our plates on another table as no one removed them as we were eating. We had to ask twice for my daughters cake to be bought out and when it did the candles had been put on for a 31 year old and not a 13 year old and my daughter is clearly a teenager. You can tell this just by looking at her! No one once came over and asked if we weee ok or if we needed anything and no one said thank you or goodbye. What can I say apart from thankyou for giving my son a perfect 18th birthday , from the very first phone call to reserve the table the gentleman couldn't of been more helpful allowing me time to bring in the cake and set up the table , the timing to bring out the cake was spot on and the table service was outstanding and very attentive , not sure on the servers name but he had a pony tail and I just want to give him some credit he was brilliant , the food was on point plenty of choice , was lovely and hot and loads of options for everyone , I really can't thank you enough and we will 1000% be returning very soon

Not much food choice at all. Mainly Indian cuisine. Not good quality at all. Made to pay first or else I would've refused. 45 pound wasted for our family at lunch time. No muscles or oxtail as mentioned on their website at lunchtime. Very disappointed won't be going again first and last time. Way better buffets to go to for that price.

The steak was undercooked and the grilled fish wasn’t fresh. We couldn’t eat it. Probably just a bad day in the kitchen.

No much choice and was only just about warn at best wasn’t told that less than half the food stations was not available .when we complained we was told sorry and that was it . so as my first visit not it was not a great start.
