I've visited Socrates a few times and never been disappointed. The owner is a very friendly gentleman who just wants his diners to enjoy their visit. Nothing is too much trouble. My partner ordered Koftas without realising they were spicy, (didn't read the menu properly). When I queeried this we were offered an alternative. Within 10 minutes a complete meal was brought to the table, no fuss what so ever. The food is always beautifully cooked and presented, in a very relaxed and convivial atmosphere. No rushing you to finish in here 😊. Overall, a lovely evening out and excellent value for money. And we weren't charged for the replacement meal.

The food was lovely with plenty of choice. I can recommend the gigantes for a vegetarian option. For me what would make it even better would be some more fish on the menu. There is squid and prawns but maybe sardines or whitebait. If you like cheesecake you will not be disappointed with their cheesecake made with Greek yogurt. We will visit again.

My husband and myself went to Sokrates on a Saturday night and had a lovely evening. Food was wonderful and we enjoyed Keo beer and Ouzo with lemonade. Definitely going back!

An excellent meal and really nice service. Yes, the restaurant was noisy, but that was because it was full, it being a weekend evening, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the experience.

I love this restaurant. We went In May for the mezze. This time around we went for a friends birthday. Food never fails. Service great. So friendly and welcoming. Lovely little restaurant. My 2 friends pre ordered the Kleftiko which had to be ordered 24 hours in advance. They said it was the best meal they had had in a long time. I would highly recommend.
