Spice Quarter

I love this place back on Cardiff next week so I am sure this is where I will eat! I go here and viva Brazil when I visit and this is becoming my favourite

The best thing about spice quarter was the food. Fresh, seasoned and just the right kick.

The restaurant was very nice inside and ths food nice too. They added a £5 service charge onto the bill though without informing me. When I queried it I was told it was 'optional' so I requested it be removed as I had not been asked about this before.

Nice restaurant Nice food although overpriced but I suppose that’s what you pay in the centre of Cardiff . Ordered poppadoms which never arrived although we were charged for them . Once we took them off the bill and the service charge we were £10 better off .

We were a party of 13 having a lunch on a Friday afternoon with the Early Bird menu. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and could not fault anything about the whole experience - and we have the photos to prove it. Many thanks to all involved

First time visit to the Spice Quarter restaurant, the menu offers all the usual dishes you’d expect along with a number of more unusual options. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious, staff were welcoming and attentive and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Will definitely return next time we’re in Cardiff.

Fantastic food and service. The only downside was the clientele on that night which was made up of huge groups of loud and rude men .

Seated fast, quick with ordering. Food was not good, service was rushed and mains came before finishing a starter. We ordered drinks that were not put through and did not come and then and service charge was added to the bill as standard. This by the way if you go is actually optional ☺

Really good atmosphere, food was excellent (I didn’t recognise some of the food on the menu but it really was amazing). Service was good and prices are reasonable.

Waited over an hour after ordering. Had to eat quickly as we had a theatre booking. Food ok but bland and lukewarm. Will not return.

Food was disappointing we ordered from the early bird menu, the pakoras were two pieces cut in half on the plate instead of four pieces. The tikka masala was really hot (spice) and nothing like a tikka masala. We also ordered two kormas from the normal menu and when my son said he didn’t like it, I wondered why as he loves korma - I tasted it and it was chicken in a warm butter sauce! No spice or coconut could be tasted!! Very disappointed.

Great food, great service. Couldn’t wish for more. The waiters were attentive, courteous and polite. There were 25 of us st one sitting and everyone loved their meal.

The welcome was not very nice, nearly tirned round to leave. The server was impolite and abrupt. Another server took over later he was more pleasant. The food was good, not excellent but ok. Too much sauce and very little meat.
