We are regular visitors as it’s our local. The food is good pub food and the pizza is a favourite.

3of us had steak and ale pie and it was great very nice the 4th one had fish pie and it was very dissapointing was supposed to have a crust on top and didn’t and veg was tasty but a bit hard

Lovely Sunday lunch & very friendly staff. Very busy, so pleased we pre-booked. Vegetarian option was very good as was the meat roast.

Food was very nice and service good the only thing was the carrots could of done with being a bit softer apart from that will be going back again .

Booked a meal for fathers day at 5pm only had soup left from the starters so we didnt have one. We had lamb roast was tasty but cold. Childrens meal of chicken goujons was hot. Staff were nice though and kept aplogising as they were really busy. Also had a long wait for dessert. We have eaten many times before and havent had a bad meal so i feel this time was purely because theu had taken too many bookings.

Food was very nice, fresh and served hot.we all opted for the steak and Stilton pie which was made with shortcrust pastry. Very tasty. The girls serving were all very polite and extremely helpful. We hope to return next time we are in Leicester.

Great Sunday roast, friendly staff, lovely pub and fair value.

Six of us went out as a birthday treat. Booked online and was delighted when arriving to find balloons on the table with a cup of sweets. Lovely touch. we all had 3 course. Every time we ordered they missed off something, someone’s drink, meal we got to the stage where we said who will miss out next:) but the staff were fab and it didn’t bother us at all. Will definitely go back.. loved it ! great place great food, great staff

Very, very good place to eat with friends and family!

For our 2nd recent visit we enjoyed the steak pie and fish and chips mains. Both were excellent and arrived in a timely fashion. We took advantage of the £1 puddings on a Monday evening. The chocolate sundaes however were not great with no noticeable ice cream, just lots of cream, brownie and sauce. This was pointed out twice afterwards to the waitress to pass onto the chef/management with no feedback received. they were ok for £1 but not worth the usual full price.

All great except music little too loud and modern. Relaxing style would be more appropriate.

Had Sunday lunch but would have liked the offer of a smaller plate. Stamford Arms are always obliging and the Chef will if possible make whatever you request if not on the menu that day.

Whilst we could have asked to be moved we were placed on a small table when plenty of others were free. The fish pie was small & lacking in sauce. Almost as if the potato had only just been added on top. Quite a long wait for food to arrive. More ‘pubby’ than the website lends you to think. Would have been happier if price point was lower. Staff friendly though.
