Stamford Arms

We reserved a table inside. I was unhappy that the waiting staff did not wear face visors or any kind of ppe, especially as one was really close to us as she gave us drinks & food etc. The manager needs to re-visit the training. We were placed too close to next table and so close that their conversation prevented us hearing our own conversation. My colleague could have easily touched the gentleman at next table without stretching. Menu choices very good for a restricted menu, tasty food

Friendly helpful staff as always. Plenty of menu choice and good quality eg pie was chocked full of proper meat with good ale flavour.

Fantastic staff, great food, and the guys at the Stamford would do their very best to make our visit enjoyable, cannot wait to return.

Loved the new system, especially table system for even just drinks at the bar!

Overall a really good meal. The food was good however we were disappointed that they no longer do the halloumi sizzler.

First visit post lockdown. The changes made all seemed to work really well and didn't impact on our visit. Table service only which was very professional and timely. A little quieter which was actually quite nice for conversation. Food was good. Well done Stamford.

We are regular customers, and as usual excellent food, service and atmosphere. Good organisation carried out regarding virus precautions, we felt very safe.

We had an amazing time , service was excellent from the time we arrived , food was excellent . Sitting in the pod that we had booked was a unique experience , a fantastic idea and of course was perfect to enjoy family time safely with social distancing from other diners . Thank you to you all .

Lovely Sunday Lunch at our local with my family and good friend Emily. Our pub has only just re-opened and what an amazing job they have done to create a safe and welcoming environment. Check out these garden pods, fantastic idea! Bookable for drinks and/or food. Rain or Shine Brian at the Stamford Arms, Groby, did good 🙂

Good food good weather good service good stuff all round

First time out at a pub since lockdown. 4 of us booked a pod outside which was decorated with cushions, flowers and lights and very comfortable.The staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Drinks and food were ordered and served to us at the pod. Food was delicious and we felt safe. Will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service, high levels of social distancing and hygiene but at the same time eating in the restaurant didn’t really feel much different to pre lockdown. The new menu is excellent. They have clearly thought everything through very carefully and are running an awsome operation.

Had the Chilli prawn sizzler with Mediterranean vegetables which I normally wouldn’t try, glad I did, it was delicious !!
