Friendly staff, great authentic food, clean facilities. Amazing place to go to albeit google maps pointed me to an embassy instead of the place :).

Really good food and a nice atmosphere and interior. However as a negative, service was slow as only very few waiters/waitresses there (maybe they were short staffed that evening).

Used tastecard on a 2 for1 offer , would not pay full price, food and drinks are lovely but very slow service in a half-empty restaurant

Luke warm food. Rushed service. Looked understaffed for a Sunday evening. Bit pricey too. Location is ok and setting different. However, not worth another visit

Excellent service from the moment we arrived, a high standard of food and a very good ambience in the restaurant Would highly recommended this establishment.

Bright, modern yet rustic interior in an excellent location when going to the museums or the Royal Albert hall. Friendly and helpful staff. Good beer as should be expected. Maybe the best German food you can get in London. More choice than in their beer garden in Richmond but the schnitzel actually tasted better at the river side. We'll definitely be back for more pork roast and wild boar ragoue and wheat beer from the tab.

We enjoyed dinner, really nice food and good portions. Kids were happy to see Spezi & Almdudler on the menu after being in Austria in the summer. Easy walk from South Ken station & Royal Albert Hall.

Great beer and great food. The staff were attentive and helpful even when we asked for food just as the kitchen was about to close. The decor is fresh and roomy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Food is ok! Service is appalling, so many errors and rushing. And it was very quiet so no excuse. Management must be extremely poor tbh

The table was ready for us when we arrived. We went for breakfast and it was delicious Only thing I would say is that they don’t have fresh juice

Excellent food and atmosphere. Given the large number of people in the restaurant, the service was attentive and the staff were friendly. I will certainly visit again.

Really happy with the food and service. Menu offered an excellent range of food and drinks, the atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant walked a pleasing line between elegant and casual.

Excellent German food and impressive presentation! However, seating could be more comfortable! Bathrooms are well worth a visit for ultimate experience of modern German history...

Having spent some time in Germany, I was pleased to see that the food was authentic. Spaetzle, Flammkichen and Currywurst, along with some splendid Bratkartoffel. If I were to suggest improvement, I would say that there was only one other table occupied on an October Sunday evening, and we felt a bit awkward having a table laid out with the rest of the restaurant being ready for bed.

Great location and atmosphere, good service. The bretzels were warm and fluffy and the pork was delicious. The pumpkin lasagna was served cold but was still good. Highly recommend.

Dropped in here after a presentation down the road at the Royal Geographical Society. Was virtually empty at 9pm but we had a nice table in the window and service was very fast. Starters of red herring salad (£8.90) and Pumpkin soup (£5.90) were excellent, as was the beef goulash (£15.00) and Vienna Schnitzel (£21.90) for our mains. Wuality of food was very good, full of flavour. Total, with a Virgin Mary, was £64.80 for two very filling courses for two people. And we were out in 55 minutes. We'll go again.

The restaurant was lovely and the food delicious and good value as we went for the £11 lunchtime menu. However, works were being carried out and listening to a drill whilst trying to hold a conversation was quite annoying. Julie

Food was good but staff could have been more attentive, especially as it we went at a quiet time when it was less than half ful.

Great location when going to the Royal Albert Hall but very poor service. Staff training needs to be implemented as I object to have my bowl of potato salad taken away when not finished nor other friends had not finished eating. Long wait to be served drinks in spite of the restaurant being empty. When coffee ordered for 3 only one came and when the others came 10 minutes later they were minus water. Chocolate gateau dry. More effort required.

Excellent choice of German favourites plus some lighter summer offerings. Good value and well presented with attentive service. The terrace is attractive for sunny days dining but could do with some parasols.

Waited for an hour to be served. The lady at reception tried to seat my husband and me at a table for two when my name was clearly on a table which we had reserved for six. The food was not as tasty as it had been three weeks before. It took ages to get our bill as the lady was having trouble at the till. Same lady as at reception. She is clearly not up to working in a busy restaurant. We probable won't come back especially when a bottle of mineral water cost £7:00, ridiculous!

Loved the restaurant. Terrific food and wine, excellent service with professional and charming waiting staff with buzzy vibe. Did not much like the 20% VAT added to the bill at the end. Have not encountered this before in restaurants and with the service (which was great) this added just under one third to the bill. Why not be transparent and include the VAT in the price of dishes like everyone else?

We enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and appreciated the friendly, efficient service. The food was interesting, tasty and good value for money. This was a great place for a meal before going to a concert nearby at the Albert Hall.

Lovely place but unfortunately many items on the menu are not available and the milkshake and smoothie machine has been broken for at least a month.

Great restaurant. My only gripe is that it was freezing inside and when we asked the manager to turn the temperature on the aircon up, he said it wasn't possible! It was raining and cold out that day and we arrived quite set so the cooperation - or consideration - of the manager would have been appreciated. Will not stay next time if it's as cold as it ruins the experience.

Lovely food, very tasty. The service can be fast if you ask for it, since on our lunch-break. The prices are reasonable for the area.

Very good food and the wine was excellent (though the wine list as in many places it seems these days has few in a reasonable price range - ours was one of them but we were told the last bottle). The service was very helpful but slow which I guess may be the norm for a relatively new establishment and I expect will improve. Perfect location if you are going on to the Royal Albert Hall as we were. I would certainly go there again. Nice decor too - ambience matters as well as the food and wine!

The decor is modern and, on a hot day, refreshingly cool and simple. The service was prompt and friendly, the menu was commendably relatively short with good alternative choices and the food excellent. I look forward to my return with pleasant expectations.

Hopeless, clueless service. Eventually served three of four meals but they forgot about the fourth. Plenty of staff, no direction or management. Drinks supposedly iced were served warm. Food itself was adequate. We asked to pay the bill, girl said she would be 'two seconds' getting the credit card machine, we never saw her again. All in all a major disappointment, and despite arriving in good time, we were nearly late for our concert as a result of the incompetence, for which no one apologised.
